LEGO Racers 2 with Steam Remote Play - possible ? ? ?

  • Added LEGO Racers 2 to my Steam Library - no Remote Play
  • Downloaded Space Smack! which supports Remote Play
  • Backed up the Space Smack! game files
  • Copied and paste LEGO Racers 2 game files into the directory
  • Renamed LEGO Racers 2.exe to SpaceSmack.exe
  • Launched Space Smack! from Steam > loads LEGO Racers 2
  • When LEGO Racers 2 launches, you have Steam overlay and a box says Remote Play enabled

I have not tested this with someone else, but possible progress? :)

What do you guys think?

+++ Another update... +++

Tested my method, it works! Used my main computer and another computer at home.

So I launched Space Smack! which actually launched LEGO Racers 2. I invited my other Steam user account to my game (Remote Play).

I configured the player controls for Player 1 and Player 2.

Split screen race multiplayer by Steam Remote Play! ?

Only issue... Steam thinks you are running Space Smack! and clocks your game hours on that game. But oh well. People just think I am a fan of that game when I have never played it.

Try out parsec instead maybe?

If this do not work. But cool dude :)

I got my game working multiplayer with this method. But the flaw - Steam clocks gaming hours of Space Smack! - a game I am not actually playing. ?

But at least this is a method which works if anyone ever really wants to race someone over the internet. Other methods are welcome.
