Most of these things were clues to Galidor and we are at fault for not exposing LEGO in time. You all better start paying attention before they release another cancerous humanoid theme.

That LU Commercial reminded me of this:

EDIT: You forgot to include these

So basically one half of a LEGO hand is 4 fingers, and the other half is one thumb. That doesn't look all too reliable on its own to be honest, we better start growing more thumbs!

Or we can split our middle finger(s) in half, no one seems to use those except for a certain rude gesture.

I wanted to include more but ran out of space in my paint.net canvas and it felt like a good place to stop for one post. :P Some other things:

Adventurers media did stuff like that a lot though, so if we listed every example we'd be here all day.

Update: someone pointed out this is actually a reference to The Adventures of Tintin. It's called the Arumbaya Fetish.

And it goes deeper! Tintin based it on a real-life Chimu sculpture.

so what I'm saying is that bionicle has a chima idol secret

Eh, those are just real toys done in the style of bendy minifigures. Not weird human/minifigure stuff or anything that draws attention to how minifigs "work", at least not more than any other case of them being bendy.

These official images from the LEGO Education StoryStarter Curriculum Pack raise some questions I never wanted to ask.

I don't think that's entirely true - some googling later, the idea seems to have lived on in the Comic Book Makers.
