Eliminating boundaries would likely be possible, but I don't know how going characterless would work and it'd probably be very borky anyway. If you're really itching to get Out of Bounds, try debug mode. It's not listed (or even properly understood yet) but the plus and minus number pad keys, in addition to spawning characters, will sometimes hop your character forward a bit, allowing you to break out of bounds. Unfortunately, you'll usually snap back after a while.
