Cutscene/Waypoint Modding

So today, I decided to mess with the cutscene files in the intro folder. There Isn't a whole lot I can do right now, but I was able to swap the cutscene .BIN files:

I'm not sure what's with the road textures starting at 0:32... Maybe Silicon Dreams used this to help decide the movement for the bike? Not sure how that would help, but it matches up pretty well with the bike path

 

After that, I took a look at the Intro folder's WAYPOINTS  subfolder. First, I swapped PATH.WLK/.WTV with SPLINE_MAP.WLK/.WTV but kept SPLINE_MAP the same:

And lastly, I had both .WLK/.WTV files swapped the other way around and got this:

I wasn't sure how long the cutscene would last here, so I skipped the rest. I really laughed hard when I started the bike xD.

 

I'm probably not going to touch the cutscene files much (aside from the huge list of ones in Z01LGI), but I'll see what else I can get out of the other waypoint files later.

This discovery is pretty neat! I can certainly imagine quite a few of us (including myself) will have quite a time messing with the cutscenes with very "interesting" results... Heh, heh, heh.
