Bionicle

Yeah I'm a huge bionicle fan myself, but only had 2 sets. Never payed any attention to the story lines... I just liked the sets cause they looked cool.

I like Ben 10 because as far as superhero cartoons go, it's fairly original while retaining some of the classic styles I love about older cartoon shows... but I would never buy a lego set version. /:| As for Hero Factory.... I have no idea what the crap your talking about.

Near the end of bionicle the poor story line made me stop buying them. What was the purpose of the "glatorians"? I thought the bionicles were all about helping eachother take down enemies, not fighting eachother. You could say that bionicle ended on a bad note only to pick up on a even worse one (Hero Factory and Ben 10). How leog could drop a theme that has been running for ten years and expect loyal fans to pick up on these "replacements" makes me sick.

RIP Bionicle :'(

To get into the technicality of this, because that's how I roll :P, the purpose of the glatorians was to make finality to the story. It never began with the matorans as it seemed but with the algori and glatorians. The matoran and toa were made afterwards for Mata Nui so that he could survive and save the original planet.

I can sell you all the bionicles I have for one dollar each.

WAIT.

Is that an offer?

@Devestater
  1. Are the Bionicles already assembled?
  2. Do you still have their tubes?
  3. Are they Bionicles or a bunch of Bionicle pieces thrown into a box?
  4. How many do you have?
  5. There is no number 5.

@LZ

I find it amazing you wouldn't ask someone who claims that Hero Factory and Ben 10 are better these questions.

Why is it amazing? I wanted to see if he was serious about that claim first, then I was going to ask quality questions.

Well then I guess you don't have to anymore.

Ya know, I must say that hero factory and ben ten look pretty much the same. but that bionicle looks completely different from them.

That's because Bionicle was unique. If you'll notice, about 99.9%(over-exaggerations ftw) of the Lego parts used in Bionicle were originally created for those sets.

And then 50% of those original parts were used in just about every other Lego theme afterwards. The amount of Bionicle parts used in non-Bionicle sets is really astounding. Racers was one of the biggest adapters of those pieces.

Yeah, I know. My point was that they were created FOR the sets. Hero Factory and Ben 10 do not have that going for them, apparently.

:chief: :docs::jet::axle: Bionicles, Legos attempt to make its own custom Ben 10 alien figures.

BTW, lego Alien Conquest is the best, better than bionicle. :sparks:

You moron, don't you know that Bionicle came out way before lego received that license from Cartonn Failwork and began making Ben10?

Apparently not. But not only did Bionicle come out before Lego started to make Ben 10, I'm also pretty sure that Ben 10 didn't even exist when Greg went to Lego.

The LEGO Ben 10 sets will be dead within 2 years, that is the general lifespan of sets. However bionicle went for far longer because they were very popular.

Additionally, your comment is called trolling. People who troll get warnings and bans KAPISH?

It's slang for "Do you understand?" It, along with the phrase "Ya dig?" both increase my raeg level by two percent when I see or hear them. But that's irrelevant.

Are you really that dense that you don't realize the actions you have taken will obviously incense other members here?

Bionicle for me, was the longest and the greatest theme, LEGO had made. I had all of the original toa, And all of the Bionicle movies. Bionicle is even the most fan loved set made. Fans where both angry and sad, when LEGO said that they where going to cancel Bionicle. But Bionicle is not dead, newer sets isent going to be made, but the story will continue. And i think LEGO is happy to finely have ended the series. I mean, it must have been very hard to make the fans happy.

I think that for most people, Bionicle was the longest and greatest set made, not just you.

But I am also pretty sure that the reason that LEGO stopped making the sets is because the story was about to end, and they didn't want to renew the contract for another several years if there wasn't going to be a story.

It has finished, it just has too many cliffhangers. Like Vezon being in that other demesion with the others saving that Great Being that was cursed by the Mask of Life.

Actually, after Metru-Nui, I lost any actual sence of story what-so-ever. It just got too confusing.

They need better writers over there.

No, actually, it hasn't. Vezon is now in the alpha timeline on what used to be Bota Magna along with Helryx, Brutaka, Axxon, Artakha, Lewa, those two random matoran that have been there the whole time, Zombie Tuyet, Miserix, and that great being that I THINK is supposed to be Angonce.

Also, Lesovikk is somehow still alive and is going ape-dung and hunting Karzanhi who is somehow still alive; Pohatu and Kopaka are looking for him, Meanwhile Karzanhi and Tren Krom both get pwnt by some mysterious BioMech guy while Kopaka and Pohatu encounter some Vulture-Thing-guy named Gaardus and they get warpified to a space station that used to be the red star and they meet Mavrah who is supposed to be important but I missed that little plot detail and had to do research as to why. Also, Gelu is escorting three new toa of questionable elements across bara magna and they get captured by vorox that don't suck in the head and Orde, one of said toa, discovers that their leader knows of a great being that is still around.

Meanwhile, the Skakdi summon some golden skinned mofo that gets it's power from dreams, and the toa mahri get mentally hijacked by it and they join the ranks of the skakdi. While this happens, two unrelated Iron Tribe agori find serpent Metus and wind up crossing paths with some psycho dreameater super blarg dude of ubar powarz of ubar doomz and ubarness (btw it's name is Anona) who ends up meeting the gold skinned dude and getting his face punched through it's ass.

And those stories have still not concluded.

What contract? LEGO owns exclusive rights to BIONICLE. They could stop or start at any time. Anyway, they had another 2 years of story planned from which they would also have made 2 more movies (Greg has since switched to a new story arc of his own invention).

More likely, here's what happened:

2006:

LEGO gets new management (toy business is apparently fast paced).

New management said, lets gear BIONICLE to older fans. Make it all darker, the initial sets bad guys, and get a new "edgier" comic artist (incidentally, the old artist was the best).

New managment says, "There, I left my mark on LEGO".

2010-ish:

New management again.

This person also wants to leave a mark on things, but instead of changing BIONICLE, they totally replace it (not because they couldn't do anything with it or it wasn't selling [popular belief] but for no other reason than it was the same as they already had).

New person says, "There, I left my mark on LEGO".

Thanks to 2001-2006 BIONICLE comic artist Randy Elliott for showing me this.
