Phoenyx
I'm working on a dubstep remix of the infamous Lavender Town theme from Pokemon Red (JP), Green (JP), Red (US), Blue (US) and Yellow It's still a work in progress, so please check back often. ftp://97.95.232.155/Music/WIP/Lavender%20Town%20Dubstep%20WIP.ogg You need to have an OGG Vorbis compatible media player (I recommend Foobar2000, but I'm sure that you have your own favorite that works just as well). The bass starts after the first breakdown. I'm wondering if it's "dubsteppy" enough.
Cyrem
Yeah no that's not dubstep... thats just added bass. No wubs and it needs a bigger drop. Have a read about it here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dubstep And listen to Skrillex, shockone, Nero, Going Quantum etc...
Zephyria
Red & Green had a different Lavender town music than Red & Blue. And technically, our Red & Blue is just the Blue version released in japan, Renamed with different version exclusive poogeymans.
Redacted
i once made some dubstep too , i have 2 versions of it : https://dl-web.dropbox.com/get/Public/wubwubwubwubwubwubwub.mp3?w=69d4a5c4&dl=1 and https://dl-web.dropbox.com/get/Public/wubwubwub2.mp3?w=d4c7a813&dl=1 . and you dont have a dubstep bass in ya remix, its just a wuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuub and it needs to be wubwubwubwubwubwubwubwubwubwubwubwubwubwubwub

Have a read about it here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dubstep And listen to Skrillex, shockone, Nero, Going Quantum etc... I do know about it, but I don't have a software bass cannon. I'm trying to get the right effect with a phaser. Red & Green had a different Lavender town music than Red & Blue. And technically, our Red & Blue is just the Blue version released in japan, Renamed with different version exclusive poogeymans. It was mainly an instrument swap. The Japanese version contains a few high-pitch tones not present in the American one. i once made some dubstep too , i have 2 versions of it : https://dl-web.dropbox.com/get/Public/wubwubwubwubwubwubwub.mp3?w=69d4a5c4&dl=1 and https://dl-web.dropbox.com/get/Public/wubwubwub2.mp3?w=d4c7a813&dl=1 . and you dont have a dubstep bass in ya remix, its just a wuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuub and it needs to be wubwubwubwubwubwubwubwubwubwubwubwubwubwubwub I'm trying to get it there. Maybe I should run a second phaser effect and another bass boost through the bass?
Redacted
it would sound better if you do that
Phoenyx
I updated the link (well, actually the target of the link - the link itself hasn't changed). I admit I'm still not satisfied yet but it I think it sounds more wobble-bassy than before.
STUDZ
Just doing Dubstep was your first mistake. Kidding. I just personally dislike it. McStudz is to Dubstep as Extreme110 is to Ponies. No offence to you. I dislike it in general.

Phoenyx
Try first playing around with the generators, then ask. I'm using MIDI sequences converted to WAV format and then imported. It allows me to include skills I've already developed into the mix.
IceHusky
Look up FL Studio, and try the demo. If you like the tools it comes with, I can get you the producer version. Skrillex uses FL Studio, and I own a copy as well, and it wouldn't be too hard getting you a copy either. Unless you want to continue using Audacity, of course. Storm
Cyrem, you do know he's my brother right? He's literally 2 years older than me. I'm sure he knows what he's doing.
Argiflex
Before I fully respond to this, how much do you know about production? Also, try searching for "open source DAW" and snoop around and see what you can find. I used Audacity for like 5 tracks before I switched over to Renoise, and then Ableton, and now I use all hardware for my music production. Also, hey guys I'm back!
