    LEGO Tower Announced!

The next mobile LEGO game is LEGO Tower made by Nimblebit. Nimblebit is famous for creating mostly cubic, pixel mobile games, and have now teamed up with LEGO to create a new online game. Incredibly similar to Tiny Tower (The original game also created by Nimblebit) but with a LEGO twist. Players will be able to see each others towers and build up each level higher and higher. This week Nimblebit put this on their Twitter: https://twitter.com/NimbleBit/status/1109080239622119425 Here's the teaser trailer: Game screenshots Quote from Nimblebit The most awesome LEGO idle simulation mobile game LEGO Tower is on its way! LEGO has joined forces with NimbleBit, creators of the classic mobile game Tiny Tower to craft a brand new mobile experience. NimbleBit has a long track record of building lovable mobile worlds for their players, and both companies are excited to be taking the Tiny Tower formula to new heights inside the world of LEGO. “Having the opportunity to build upon one of our signature games inside the world LEGO is a dream come true for us.” says David Marsh, co-founder of NimbleBit. “The building blocks of LEGO are a complete creative match for our style of games. It’s sparked a lot of the feelings of creativity and joy we’ve experienced ourselves while playing with LEGO since we were young.” LEGO Tower gives players the ability to build and operate their own LEGO Tower. Construct a wide range of apartments and businesses for your Minifigure residents to live, work and play in. Visit your friends’ towers and trade items to help them build. Collect hundreds of unique Minifigure pieces and discover hidden characters. Build your dream LEGO Tower to new heights, the sky’s the limit!” At the same time as this if you visit LEGO Ideas on the March 26th you can participate in the LEGO Tower building challenge. Among the other prizes, winners will get their creation featured in the game! LEGO® Tower will be available directly from App Store & Google Play from Summer 2019. LEGO Arthouse announced for Apple Arcade

The LEGO Group has recently announced LEGO Brawls for Apple Arcade (see Brickome's post here: LEGO Brawls), but has also announced a second title: LEGO Arthouse. The LEGO Group has now shared information on the two titles. LEGO Arthouse has been developed in a new studio based in Copenhagen, which is “a narrative journey about play itself, touching deeply on the belief of we only get old because we stop playing.” The game is for adults more than children, promising to be “an expression of the value of creativity in a coming of age story, set amongst a micro LEGO world heavily inspired by our AFOL community”. LEGO Brawls, which has already been announced, has been developed with RED Games. In that game, players will be able to play a multiplayer platform adventure, with building, rebuilding and LEGO comedy. Here is more from the official description: Quote: “The key inspiration for the title is a game where players literally build their own Heroes. By design, winning is a team-collaboration, working together to build and control contraptions within the levels, while battling the other team.” LEGO post: https://mobile.twitter.com/LEGO_Group/status/1110617500792877057 Apple arcade trailers: https://www.vgn.it/notizia/93484/apple-arcade-ecco-tutti-i-giochi-svelati-finora/ Game screenshot(s): References: https://www.brickfanatics.com/lego-arthouse-announced-for-apple-aracade/

LEGO Worlds - No More Content

A new “service announcement” video has been released on the LEGO Worlds Youtube Channel and Twitter account announcing the “final collection EVER of LEGO Worlds content” (Showcase Collection Pack 2) is now free. One can draw the conclusion that this once amazing technical attempt to break into the sandbox builder genre alongside the likes of Minecraft has now reached its end-of-life period. Sadly, this does mean the once exciting prospect of survival mode has…. not survived. Locked in limbo since being placed on hold in 2018 while TT Games focused on “enhancing the LEGO Worlds experience in other areas." and will certainly be missed. The trailer for Survivor has also been hidden on the LEGO Worlds channel. To refresh your memory of something you won’t be seeing, check out the trailer: The good news is, unlike LEGO Universe you will still be able to play LEGO Worlds as no internet connection is required to continue playing, just don't expect any new content. It is not yet clear if or for how long TT Games will still be providing game support. Go grab your free content pack if you haven't already and remember the good times. Perhaps we will be able to see some new content being adding to the game by our resident modders in the near future!
