Exploits are fun

Found an exploit allowing me to load DLC content from LEGO Star Wars The Force Awakens. Working on getting textures and models to load but that will take some time while I mess with the DAT format (need to figure out how to remove files from the archive).

This is why Lego Dimensions was never released for PC - it would be hacked to pieces.

I wonder how LW's DLC program will go...

Based on what I've researched so far, the DLC system appears to be (unfortunately) very exploitable. One could probably easily obtain a DLC for free by deleting a few lines. If TT Games ever releases any modding tools (which I slightly doubt they will) they will need to fix these issues.

That's neat tho, wonder if it works for any other DLC

So far the only DLC that I have gotten to work is from LEGO TFA. I pulled a copy of the LEGO Dimensions DLC files from Nintendo's servers but haven't gotten anything to show up in game yet. With a bit of work I might be able to make it compatible with LEGO Worlds. Interestingly enough, the LEGO Dimensions DLC files include the models and textures while LEGO TFA does not (perhaps stored in the GAME.DAT?)
