I just got a new actiontec modem. The down speed is 1.26 (or is it 10.26? I don't remember) mb/s (old motorolla junk one was 125 kb/s or so.)

I love it, has port forwarding...lol...No more internet lagging. Plus i get the full value out of what we pay the isp.
