GASP! THAT'S ILLEGAL!!!

Not sure if it's illegal, depends on your counties law on recording. I mean you can record TV and the radio why not online streams? and there are heaps of programs around for doing what he's doing.

It's not illegal until you redistribute it. Also, it's literally impossible for anyone to catch you recording music like this unless they've already tied into your system and are listening to what programs you're running through some sort of agent. At that point, you're already screwed.
