Two years ago, a day after RRU's 6th anniversary and 9 days before my birthday, I first shoved my ugly mug 'ole in the general direction of this site, and joined because -
Well, actually I've never said on here the real reason why I joined in the first place. Mainly because it was so downright silly.
I joined to look at... a topic with a nyan cat mod for racers. Really. When I first navigated my way here as a member of the LMBs (that stopped very soon after), I was a bit of a n00b to be hones
I've been here three years huh
Exactly one year ago I told you all how I ended up here in the first place, but this year... I haven't really got much to say actually. We've had some good times and some bad times in the last year, but the one thing that definitely hasn't changed is my relationship with this forum and how much I love it so. Everyone here is nice and for once on the internet it feels like I belong somewhere, and that sense of belonging is
When most people think about a leaky sandwich, they imagine an old, worn down sandwich with cracked and missing bread. It’s not hard to imagine how lava is getting through bread like that. But what if you have a newer sandwich and your bread is in good condition? You may be surprised to see lava dripping from your fillings if you’ve been vigilant about keeping your bread in good condition. One of the most common causes of sandwich leaks during the winter doesn’t actually have anything to d
'Twas the mine before Christmas, when all through the base
Not a creature was stirring, not even dear Ace;
The stockings were hung by the teleporter with care,
In hopes that St. Chief soon would be there;
The raiders were nestled all snug in their beds;
While visions of sandwiches danced in their heads;
And Le in his bow-tie, and I in my cap,
Had just settled our brains for a long miner's nap,
When out in the base there arose such a clatter,
I sprang from my bunk to see what w
STAR WARS: The Fork Awakens
Finally, a blog post that isn't spam-related...
I did this sketch way back in november-ish when the first trailer for The Force Awakens dropped and nobody could talk about anything else for a week. When I first saw that new floaty landspeeder gliding across the desert the first thing that popped into my head was "Hey, that front bit sorta looks like a toaster on it's side", and so this idea was born.
So, recently I realized that when I originally joined I didn't actually introduce myself at all in the New Members subforum (actually, I think I just joined and then forgot about RRU for a while, and then I rediscovered it several months later), and because I now have this shiny new Blog, I thought I'd actually write a bit about myself even though you all know who I am. Anyway, enjoy! Or try to at least...
So, hello there, My name is Ayliffe! If you're wondering how to pronounce that, it's
Whilst looking about the internet for things, I came across this rather daft-looking mod for Sonic Generations that got the Sonic character models from LEGO Dimensions and slapped 'em in Generations. So I downloaded it, booted up the game and my sides were immediately sent into literal orbit.
(got a lotta screenshots to post, so I'mma put 'em all in spoiler tags for your viewing pleasure)
lego sonic as you truly imagined it
So, if you didn't know I went to Legoland Windsor on tuesday, and I generally had a good time, but when we tried to order some ordinary chippy chips from a small cafe, this is what we recieved:
Yeah, we got a thing called "Lego fries". I was not expecting this at all. Really, I was expecting some nice, ordinary chippy chips to arrive on my table for me to devour/eat. But no, we got these things. They were so hillariously stupid that I had to create a comic about them, and thats what I did
Hey, remember that daft Bionicle short I made literally a year ago to the day (only just realised it was so long ago whilst making this post, crikey)? Well, while RRU was down for repairs I had to do a short film for me Media Foundation course, so I went and made a seven minute long followup! Also one of them wears a suit. Yuuuuuup!
It's probably the most ambitious project I've done so far and I'd really love to do more stuff like this in the future, s' good t
So, I did this WAAAAY back when the first blurry black and white image arrived, but I never got a chance to upload it on DeviantART. Seeing as Lego has now 'accidentally' confirmed it's return, I thought it would be an appropriate time to post it. Also, I'll try to get part 2 done ASAP.
(and yes, I know I just copied and pasted the description from deviantART, but I couldn't be bothered to reword anything)
I was bored on the bus journey home, so I did this drawing of Batman. He's a man. And he's dressed as a bat. Obviously.
And this is another drawing I did the following day on another bus journey.
Oh hey and blogs are back that's cool.
