What version is my Lego Racers?

7 posts in this topic

Hey guys, so there has been a lot of confusion between my friends on what version my Lego Racers game is, 1999 or 2001. I'm really not sure and I'd like for someone to tell me. I appreciate any help.

Here is a pic of my disc: https://postimg.org/image/f8g8g9yuf/0db8f0e2/

That's the 2001 version. Well, TT Games's 2007 re-release, but it contains the 2001 version of the game.

TT also got the descriptions of LR1/LR2 mixed up on the backs of the boxes:

(There were 2-packs of LR1 + LR2 and LI1 + LI2 released by TT in 2007, as well as all four games together as seen here. The back of the LI1/LI2 boxes also claimed you could build vehicles in LI2http://i.imgur.com/dCPQovC.jpg TT also released a Creator/Drome Racers/Galidor/LEGOLAND pack in 2008: https://www.amazon.com/Collection-Legoland-Creator-Racers-Galidor-Pc/dp/B003BL147S http://i.imgur.com/DgPAS3s.jpg http://i.imgur.com/agXEJuI.jpg And I recall seeing some pack that included Stunt Rally and I think Island Xtreme Stunts, as well? Though I'm not sure who published that or if I'm correct in IXS being the other game, but Stunt Rally was definitely one of them.)

Wow, interesting. I have the LI/LI2 combo pack and I just looked and they do state things that are impossible in the real game! Great catch!
