Hi I thought since we have a Lego Awesomeness thread we should have a thread for all the bad lego set/moc that Lego made. So if you have a Lego set/moc you despised post it here and also please keep it -16. :)

It's literally just a brick

Why just sets that LEGO made? I mean the other topic is for creations people have made, so if it is the true reverse, why not worst creations people have made?

A topic where people bash other people's models is the opposite of a good idea for reasons I surely hope I don't have to explain. I'd advise sticking to official sets if you want to keep this topic open.

So bashing a company is more right than bashing individuals? Mmmk.

... Wow, do I actually have to explain this?

Really?

You're equating products... Things designed to be sold to people... Things that have high expectations inherently placed on them... Products...

... With people's creations?

Really?

It is, at very least, less personal. I mean, yes, there are designers who might get offended, but even then, they're adults. They can probably see where (fair) criticism is warranted, and won't come marching onto a forum to start a debate over it. And a lot of them were probably working under constraints anyway.

Maladjusted younglings who make a bad MOC, on the other hand, might react differently. It's a little easier to crush their spirit or provoke them to anger.

No, no you don't have to explain it. I may make stupid remarks but I'm not that stupid. I was a minute away from making an edit that says "I know that's not what you meant, but it's what I got out of it. ;P "

Haha, great. I left you with only a memeable response (not my intentions). =P

Now let's get back to the bad releases party.

While I can't say I agree with this list, for there's certainly far worse, it's a pretty fun read. And this one is just awesome. (Warning: Links contain some swearing, because it's the internet)

This was one of the first sets I bought in my childhood. Minifigures were cool, but the set was really lame.

I'm a huge fan of Life on Mars, but this is the worst set in the series.

Worse than Galidor? I think so...

The only thing I care for are the unique figures.

I had some of those knights, they weren't too bad. They also came with some collectible game cards.

Eh, I can see why people dislike those juniorized town sets for the building experience, but as far as looks go I think they have a nice aesthetic.

they definitely were cheap and usually came with cool figures, which is why I liked them

I have all those set, and they are not bad at all. That town set was my first big set.

Yeah, I'm going to add to the consensus that Town Junior wasn't all that bad. It obviously got a lot of flack back in its day for taking the place of more complex Town sets from previous years, but I'm still somewhat fond of them.

What bothered me about Town Jr. was how cheesy the buildings and vehicles were. I liked its futuristic look, but the sets were over simplified as opposed to World City, which had a similar theme concept in mind:

The old minifigures were much better, though.

But I like Ramas! I can't complain about the top parts, but the bases really suck.

HOW IS THAT A POLICE CAR?

Hell, the other vehicle in the set actually LOOKS LIKE a van.

current aeshetic: 2001-2006 era LEGO sets

ok but you really know what were really bad sets?

the Ben 10 figures

they had so many specialized parts it wasnt really easy to mesh them with bionicle AND of course they still could chip away easily like bionicle so they were Pretty Darn Bad

Really? I could have sworn the Ben 10 sets were the first to come with the reinforced sockets. Wow, that sucks.
