mumboking
If you're using Windows 10 or you've been installing Windows Updates on Windows Vista, 7, or 8, you may find that games using SecuROM or SafeDisc will not work! LEGO Racers, LEGO Rock Raiders and LEGO Drome Racers all use SafeDisc. There may be other LEGO games affected. If you are affected and aren't running Windows 10, the information in some of the links below should help. http://hexus.net/tech/news/software/86720-safedisc-securom-drm-support-removed-windows-8-7-vista/http://www.geek.com/games/microsoft-kills-safedisc-drm-on-windows-7-and-8-1634869/http://www.rockpapershotgun.com/2015/09/23/windows-update-disables-safedisc-drm-7-8-vista/http://www.digitaltrends.com/computing/microsoft-removes-safedisc-securom-support-from-older-versions-of-windows/ This seemed like the place to put this topic. Move it if necessary. Edited September 25, 2015 by mumboking Added examples, Mentioned Win10 Fluffy Cupcake
Fluffy Cupcake
This seemed like the place to put this topic. Move it if necessary. As this isn't LEGO. I'd say General or General/Gaming/ would of been a good spot. That, or community discussion if you REALLY wanted it to get noticed urgently. Anyhow, thanks for the heads up! Phoenyx
I'd like to point out that this also applies to Windows 10. Microsoft has completely dropped support for SecuROM and SafeDisc, citing both as potential security risks.

Microsoft has completely dropped support for SecuROM and SafeDisc, citing both as potential security risks. In Windows 10, they weren't supported from the beginning. Vista, 7 and 8 all supported them. A Windows Update is disabling them. I'll add that to the OP.
dsdude123
For users on Windows Vista, 7, 8, or 8.1, a workaround for the MS15-097/KB3086255 update is available at: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/3086255. Following the instructions there should enable SecuROM.
