Really, really nice set. Even though I'm not a Ninjago fan I'm tempted, but in the end $200 is just gonna be too much for my budget when there's other stuff I'm more interested in.

The big things here (besides how awesome the model is in general) are the new Misako fig (she's been in the show since Season 2 but she's a girl so she hasn't been in a set till now) and the glider from the original Ninja line (an obscure promo, amusingly).

It's really interesting how this set tries to find a balance between traditional oriental themes and the tone of the show.

The Ace Railgun

Holy carp that set...I love the Chinese style architecture they used for the buildings, I just might have to pick this one up, even though I'm not a huge fan of Ninjago.

The set itself is awesome, but add Misako (finally!), Dareth (finally outside of a polybag!), and the Mailman (100% UNEXPECTED), as well as the aforementioned references to the older Ninja line, and this set is now my most wanted Lego set that is currently being or will be produced. If Ninjago were to end this year (which it won't, since it's getting a theatrical movie), I'd be totally fine with that, because this would be a great way to end the theme.

Seaborgium

"We were originally going to have porcine warriors"  Lego set designer Mark Stafford says. "With wings. They were going to have wings"

"We also planned a sort of 'frozen-over infernal landscape' vibe. Unfortunately this would have come with a $400 price tag which would be too much for the average household"

FINALLY, an actual LEGO Ninjago set which feels like a rip-off collection of the Modular buildings, just not quite modular.

I can see people (especially me) buying this set for the sake of the buildings, not for the sake of Ninjago collectors, LEGO collectors, or to play with.

Quisoves Potoo

Ninjago has really stepped up its game for the Summer wave, and this set is no exception. The classic Ninja reference is icing on the cake.

So many sets, so little capital...

That's a rather... astonishing... amount of minifigures...

Have those small little dragon bricks (on each end of the bridge) been seen anywhere else?

Alas, I suspect the green shed on the right has two bricks for its roof... :( The other ones look really nice though (hmm, maybe convert them into an FP model? l405G.jpg)

Though my comment is actually on the trees: they look really nice...

Sadly, I'm poor l405G.jpg

They've appeared a couple of times in the Harry Potter sets, but this is the first time we've got 'em in grey.

Oh, you mean the curved roof? Those are made up of these garage door pieces being held up by small hero factory arms.

So yeah, not just two bricks. :P

I'm not even a Ninjago fan and I like it, but like usual I have no money or real estate for it.

I really dig the way those rooftops are made.
