I had a look into the xbf files from the game LEGO Stunt Rally. They contain 3D data. Here is a small peek at my current results.

A track part:

A building:

A pickup:

And two cars from the workshop (I think they are unexpected detailed):

More to come (The orange is the goal).

Only a small update. There are still small areas I did not know what they are for. Especially in the header.

Some files contain some kind of hirarchy. For example the cannon. It is divided in three parts: cantrack, gun1 and gun2. Between them there is additional data. I think that is animation information but I do not know jet.

I will compare the unknown sections in the car files (there is no hirarchy). When they are equal for the cars we can create an alternative car (and an orange). I do not know if the game is running with an extracted archive, but the algorithm for packing should not be that complicated.

Here are two new examples:

(One texture is wrong)

(The pink areas are transparent in the game)

I wrote a tool to convert the .xbf-files into .obj files. As far as I can tell it is working with almoust all files (I know only one exception: the isradar.xbf).

In some files are more than one mesh. This is due to animation issues. Each mesh has a own name. My tool creates a separet file for each mesh. You can simply join them, but you have to respect the animation information between these files. Most of the time there is an position offest.

There are still some areas where I do not know the containing data is used for.

Here is the tool: http://oresome.rockraidersunited.com/download/262

I am sorry for the undetailed post :S. Hope it works.

Old post I know but how exactly do I access the Lego Stunt Rally mesh and texture files?

Figured it out, still working on how to use the .xbf converter, do I have to select "open with" on the .xbf file?
