New space and deep sea sets? YES!

Phantom Terror

Really excited for some of the Minecraft sets (Specifically the Nether), Marfvel sets, Deep Sea themed sets, Jurassic World, and the Bionicle sets. It looks like we're only getting one hero this year, so it's easier to even out the odds! :D

Nuremburg Toy Fair just went over and, true to tradition, it took a bit for the new set pictures to start coming in force. There's a good amount of them out and about now, and EuroBricks poster Scarilian has done the community the kindness of collating an Imgur gallery.

Wow, that set seems to have received 50/50 appreciation in the comments. I agree with some criticism of its grey overload, but we have rather little information on the film yet to make a big decision on it.

If that is the box cover art though, it does look a little bland. People are saying it could be a manual but there's no "part 1 of x" written on it, and they look too deep to be manuals unless LEGO's been producing bound manuals now?

Lol those comments. "Looks like Disney has already begun it destruction of Star Wars."

They actually do bind the manuals now, for larger sets. I know that Benny's Spaceship came with a set of bound manuals.

Ah, thank you. Well after taking a closer look at the picture, if you look at the top-right you can see what appears to be two manuals underneath the main one. I'm not sure why they would package a bunch of manuals in a box like that though unless this is a shot of them before being packaged in the box?

With regards to the model, I wonder if the wings can spin around like the B-Wing. The top of the tall wings fans out to another flat surface like the bottom, this could be a design aspect but it could also help it stand up both ways.

Eh, to be honest I don't really know what to think about it. The general shape of the ship is pretty neat, but the grey colour scheme is a bit... ugh. I know that star wars sets are kinda known for their grey-ness, but couldn't they have at least used some other colours for details?

And yes, that's definitely an instruction manual. The little black-and-white "lego.com" symbol in the bottom-right corner of the booklet gives it away.

I'm dissapointed that it's just glossy, and not shiny like the C3P0 Figure, from a while back. :P
