MaelstromIslander Posted December 25, 2014 Share Posted December 25, 2014 Alright, so i finally have LEGO Island one and two. I got them for christmas. The first thing i wanted to play was LEGO Island one because i always dreamed of it. Well, it won't work. When i installed it and did everything it told me to do, and sent me back to the menu, i hit run game. Then, it sent me to the main menu with the black background and the infomaniacs on the green baseplate. I hit run, but the minifigure above the button glitched out and it sent me back to the main menu. Can someone help? Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
le717 Posted December 25, 2014 Share Posted December 25, 2014 Try this: Uninstall the game Reinstall using my installer (link in my sig) Run it now But seriously, I'm not positive what is happening there, but my installer bypasses the splash screen(s) and let's you run the game directly. Do i click the link to the LEGO Media alternate installers? Edit: Alright, so i did everything your alt installer told me to do and what you told me to do and what the game told me to do... And then the cutscene was pitch black, and the info tower was invisible with only two flowers, the infomaniac, and the green/red bricks in existance. Change your colour settings..... I think that's what did it for me. If that doesn't work, you might need to muck in the registry values as that MIGHT have worked as well, but go for the colour solution first. lol username Posted December 28, 2014 Share Posted December 28, 2014 Find "To configure LEGO Island". Run it as an administrator. Choose a graphics mode other than Direct3D HAL. Run the game as an administrator. If it still doesn't work, run configuration as administrator again and choose another mode. MaelstromIslander Posted March 24, 2015 Author Share Posted March 24, 2015 So, a miracle happened. I was finally going to ask my dad to listen to Jamesster's tutorial to see if it works. He ignored it, and went in anyway. Something magical happened; The Cutscene wasn't black, i was still in my doubts though. But then it happened, i saw the info-centre, the infomaniac gave me his greeting, and i jumped for joy. God gave me LEGO Island.
