Floating Bricks

Now, I know you know about this, that bricks float occasionally.

But I've never seen it this bad.

There is literally not one (can't remember about that 2x4 plate at the back) brick which is attached to the chassis. l405G.jpg

In fact, all of the bricks are freely floating - not one is attached to another one. l405G.jpg

I've had this happen before where none touch, but it isn't common! There is usually at least one on the chassis.

It's far easier on this map, since those pit stops are common and so therefore being hit in a pitstop is far more common. Plus, it's not like they lose sight of you or anything on this map.

I wonder how hard it would be to mod in a chassis that hovers?

Don't half of the Mars chassis "hover" anyway? If that's not what you mean, what do you mean? A chassis that is 5 feet up in the air? Shouldn't be too hard... just change the object's center!

Yes, five feet up in the air is what I was looking for :P

Also, on non-Mars areas.

Fluffy Cupcake

But anyway, Xiron, how ease would it be to create a chassis that is five feet up in the air?

Easy:

  • Make sure your GAMEDATA is extracted.
  • Find the chassis under /OBJECTS/BRICKS/ANYWORLD/CHASSIS/ and open any of the files in a Hex Editor
  • If you don't know what to do at this stage, find a reverse engineerer who is willing to poke around the files for hours.
  • When this reverse engineerer knows what to look for in the file and posts a topic with confusing information regarding it, give up and never return to the topic, or give a glare to a programer who can make a program out of the information given.

Well, in what you've just mentioned I don't have to do anything else but wait... so yeah, it's pretty easy for me l405G.jpg
