Ok,for a while now I have had this Sound Blaster Live! Value inside meh computer for quite some time, but it is giving me trouble. Here is a list of ye problems.

1.Popping And Crackling Noise

2.Not all sounds play correctly

3.Sound lags sometimes

I want to install kx audio driver, but I cannot install it due to an error stating something about MSVCRT.DLL

Can Someone help?

From what I've understood from searching on Google, you are talking about a synthetizer. That's my business.

The crackling noise and lag are caused by the buffer lenght being too short for the computer to handle, which is a consequence of a sound card that isn't very powerful, you have to change it. About the "not all sounds play correctly", if you aren't specific enough I can't really help you.

Well it seems in games like Toy Story,it is very apparent. The game seems to use .wav sound files. Even windows media player has problems with .wav files too. The same goes for lego island as well. I might be able to record some samples for you to hear if you want me to.

I think you are talking about a slow bitrate, but I might be wrong. A recording would definitely do the job.

Windows 98SE is the operating system.

I am using the cd that came with it.

Another thing that I should say,is that it originally came with a custom built computer from gateway, but it says nothing about gateway on the sound card or the driver cd. The only mention of gateway is on the cd label.

It still has the same issue. Here are some samples, they did not sound as bad as usual. https://drive.google...iew?usp=sharing

I can't seem to be able to open the zip file, my computer just can't handle it. Can you fix the problem, and maybe reupload it on the RRU uploader, or Dropbox? I trust them way more than the Google cloud thingy. :P

Sorry the files are no longer on my computer and I sadly am using the integrated sound instead, which sounds no where near as good as the sound blaster does.
