Mr. Skeltal Posted October 13, 2014 Share Posted October 13, 2014 Ok,for a while now I have had this Sound Blaster Live! Value inside meh computer for quite some time,but it is giving me trouble. Here is a list of ye problems. 1.Popping And Crackling Noise 2.Not all sounds play correctly 3.Sound lags sometimes I want to install kx audio driver,but I cannot install it due to an error stating something about MSVCRT.DLL Can Someone help? The crackling noise and lag are caused by the buffer lenght being too short for the computer to handle, which is a consequence of a sound card that isn't very powerful, you have to change it. About the "not all sounds play correctly", if you aren't specific enough I can't really help you. Well it seems in games like Toy Story,it is very apparent. The game seems to use .wav sound files. Even windows media player has problems with .wav files too. The same goes for lego island as well. I might be able to record some samples for you to hear if you want me to. Another thing that I should say,is that it originally came with a custom built computer from gateway,but it says nothing about gateway on the sound card or the driver cd.
