I was expecting some new thing, but no, it's from 1998 - this thing predates Rock Raiders, Racers, etc. I don't have Doom but from the (rather low-res) screenshots it looks to be of decent quality. And there is a wad called freedoom, that is totally legal, it replaces the iwad with one that actually can be used as a replacement. Mr. Ash Posted September 2, 2014 Share Posted September 2, 2014 I think I might have actually watched a video with this mod several years ago, but I can't remember anything aside from the Shotgun Guys being replaced by the Cavalry and one of the demons/monsters being replaced by skeletons. The mod isn't a bad idea, but I personally think that a mod like this would work better in Quake. Some better screenshots would be nice, though. Jimbob Posted September 3, 2014 Share Posted September 3, 2014 I thoroughly enjoyed playing the first two Doom games, the graphics were just hilarious, particularly the fist which I'm sure was just a photo of one of the dev's hands. If I can find it cheap, I'd likely buy Doom to play this, or even modify it myself seeing as there are so few textures required. Assuming it's not too difficult to mod?
