Hey all.  :)

So I finally got around to working on the Nebulon-B Frigate again that I started building in MLCad quite a while ago however I've decided to build it in LDD (Lego Digital Designer) instead. This way it will be a bit easier for me to make it in LDD. I imported the old model so all that progress is still there so I'll use that as a base to carry on with it. I've done a bit of work on it already but there's still quite a bit left to do. here's my progress so far.

I've gotten a bit more done over the past few days so I thought I'd post a update on what I've done. I've replaced the bricks on the rear section with slope bricks and done a bit more work on the front section as well. I still need to do the same for the other side and work on the rear section a bit more.

Still a lot more work to do but it's getting there I think.

I've got some more progress done over the past few days so here is an update on what I've done. I've done the other side of the front section as well as started work on the very bottom part of the from section, I've also added more detail to the rear section. I'll probably do a bit more work on the rear section as well as the bottom of the front section next.

That is pretty darn good, apemax! You've captured all the little details and panelling wonderfully on such a small scale. I can't see much left for you to do other than the bridge, so I look forward to it's completion. :)

Yeah still got a few more tweaks here and there to do.

From this to this... that's quite amazing.

I'm not a Star Wars fan myself, but it does look awesome.

 Thanks.  :)

I've been working on my Nebulon B Frigate over the past few days so here's an update on what I've done. I've added a bit more detail to the rear section as well as finished off the detail on the bottom of the front section. I've also been thinking about the colours so I still need to sort them out and there might also be a few minor tweaks here and there as well. I also need to sort out the internal structure as it's a bit of a mess at the moment.

I've gotten some more progress done on the Nebulon B Frigate over the past few days so here's what I've got done.

Biggest thing that's changed since the last update is I've completely rebuilt the front section so it's now wider and a bit better overall shape now.

Been working on the Nebulon-B Frigate over the week end so I thought I'd post a update.

First thing I did was work on the plates on the front section quite a bit so they look a bit more like the actual thing. I've also increased the strength of the center section by adding a second row of beams under the original row. These two main beams almost run straight through the entire length of the model so it should be much stronger now.

Another update on my Nebulon B Frigate today. I've done quite a bit of work on the rear engine section to make the shape of it look a bit closer to the actual thing although I have messed up the internal structure a bit but oh well, I'l fix that at some point.

I've done a bit more work on my Nebulon B Frigate over the past week and what I've been focusing on this time is the colours. I've done a test render in pov-ray to see what the colours are going to look like when I do the final renders as the colours are a bit different in LDD to LDView/Pov-ray as you can see in these two pictures. What do you think?

Just a quick update today. I've been working on the colours a bit since the last update as well as a few smaller details here and there. I've changed the plates where the red line is to be a bit smoother and I've also added a bit of colour to certain places as well.

Been working on the Nebulon B Frigate over the weekend so here what I've got done.

I've added some more colour to parts of it and I've also added a few small details here and there as well. What do you think?

Really liking the colours, makes the parts stand out more.

Thanks.  :satisfied:

Ooh, I never noticed those colours. They add a nice bit of touch to the bottom bit.

Thanks.  :satisfied:

Just a quick update today as I haven't managed to work on it much this week. I've just been adding a few more details here and there around the model.

1) Why does a brick on the right appear light trans blue on the LDD screenshot but a vivid blue on the POV-Ray render?

2) I notice you refuse to use the new smilies. YOU CANNOT DEFEAT US, , FOR WE ARE MANY l405G.jpg

1) That would be because colours appear a bit different in Pov-ray vs LDD. Something to do with LDD and LDraw/Pov-ray rendering colours a but differently. Not really sure why.

2) I didn't notice there were new smilies to be honest lol.
