IDK.

I was in bed one night (this was back in England) and was thinking about a nice online username. I wanted to remain anonymous and then it hit me. A portmanteau of Anonymous and mouse - Anonymouse. :D

I forgot...

Well, I think I stared using it in games...But that doesn't make sense...I have been using 2 other names in games for as long as I can remember.

Then, I guess since at the time when I joined RRU all I did was play video games, I just put my username to show that I'm an addicted gamer.

I do remember having trouble of choosing that or progamer.

I thought it up cause i used to play a game called battlefield heroes, a war game. when i was thinking for a name, i was thinking of one that would make people grieve just of thinking of me, then it hit me. why not use Warguy? i thought. so i wrote it down, and to this very day, i am very skilled. but then i broke the game. EPIC FAIL!

Rock Monster: When I joined I wanted a name that was related to Rock Raiders.

Retsnom Kcor: After Fengo shot me with a bangun and I retyped my name backwards, I decided that Retsnom Kcor more fit my somewhat psychotic personality, so I requested a name change. Aside from my rejoining the new forum, in which my name was simply Retsnom, it has been the same ever since.

TheEPICtrainrider

TheEPICdtr:, it standed for 'The (epic) Dead Train Rider'(also most of my user name before 2009 were deadtrainrider/thedeadtrainrider). I came up with 'The Dead Train Driver' and I think my cousin said to make it rider; not sure why but it did sound better. So I took the name and made the back story an' stuff (the bio I trashed because it sounded too lame) but I can still sum it up for you here.

I made myself dead, because I was suppose to have 'super natural dead powers' like The Train version of the grim reaper, except funnier. And I used to have a sword, but that died with the back story. (I was going to print the 'revised' back story here, but I don't think anyone wanted to see it.)

After I had a guilt trip I changed it to TheEPICtr and then to TheEPICtrainrider, to prevent possible hate mail from people who have lost loved ones in a train wreck.

And my user name is total BS since I haven't rode a train in a while, but the name still sounds good right?

My username was explained in the old forum, but for the new ppl:

I like Rock raiders.

I wanted an rr-themed username

I wanted something to do with modding.

It was originally gonna be RRmodder, but I liked just plain rockmodder.

there. I said it. now I'm done.

...and let's hope LZ doesn't join this topic...

Car CrazeXVI

Car CrazeXVI:

"CarCraze" is the folder where Xalax cars are stored in LR2.

"XVI" is a reference to the Hex Editor I used to "enable" Rocket Racer's car. (See this video)

Rac:

Another file name, this time found in LEGO1.DLL.

O.T.
EDIT: Bumped because this topic died alone.

I got mine from this. I only picked it because I had some Rockwhale obsession back then. I began to like the name but not in its full form - I started going by just Lair, and while I still acknowledge the "of Rockwhales" part I treat it as a last name, and everyone calls me Lair.

Fluffy Cupcake

Yes, I know this topic just got a four year bump, but why not have more people reply to it?

Segatendo: A mix of Sega and Nintendo (for those that couldn't guess that already). The first site I joined was Super Mario releated, so I picked something relating to it. I then continued using it everywhere else because I wanted to show my liking for Nintendo and some SEGA games (mostly Sonic from it though...).

Xiron: Um... I actually have no clue where I got this. I came up with it too long ago without taking any important notes to self on how I came up with it. Though I think it was most likely because I wanted a name starting with an X, and randomly came up with the rest, though in a fitting way so it didn't look like I punched in random keys on my keyboard.

You know, I was trying to think of some cool explanation to put here. But...nah. Nothing comes to mind.

In all sincerity though...LRR was the first PC game I played. So pretty much every account I have has rockraider in the name somehow. I feel like we've discussed this before...

Tracker/TMLC: My front here is a TRACKED Mobile Laser Cutter.

(Rock)RaiderZulu: This is my main username, actually. I have it in many permutations, hence the (Rock). The Rock Raider in it comes from the game that drove my family mad because I played it so much. The Zulu is a NATO phonetic reference to part of my legal name.

tech670: Retired. Came from the fact that I like to make somewhat complex electronic circuits from parts I have laying around. And I mean laying around, I sometimes step on them.

Mr. Eight-Three-One

I first conceived the name "legoking831" when I was ten and had a weird obsession with Lego. The "831" actually has nothing to do with anything and was only there because I couldn't come up with anything original. Naturally, I began to regret sticking with this name over time and have since migrated over to something that doesn't convey any interests but still has remnants of my old name for recognizability's sake.

The Ace Railgun

How I came up with my user name well I guess I'll just go through all four of them :P

Tahmira:

Now this is the user name I use for pretty much every thing that Is game related as in PSN This board etc. but I came up with this username when I had just recently bought the Tanma Av-Matoran set from the 08 bionicle series and was just starting to learn my 6th and seventh languages (Japanese and D'ni and yes I was a very bored child for I also taught my self Quantum Physics and could clearly understand and repeat the M-Theory etc) anywho back to the story, so I was setting up my Tanma figure for display and was reading a Japanese manga and saw the name Tamina and decided to try switching around the letters to make it sound more D'ni and came up with the name Tah'mira which I usually spell as Tahmira (simpler that way and I'm just lazy sometimes) so that is the long story behind the first user name...

AnimeTrek:

Well in my periods of anime fanboyism and trekkieness I randomly thought up of AnimeTrek which I use on some anime type forms.

HugeBeetzStudio:

And no I am not the same guy as the HugeBeetz fellow on here, this is the name of my Multi-Media studio. He obviously stole that name... Anyhow I came up with this username when I was working with a fellow whose user is maximbeet on YT on a Co-Op music video called an AMV or Anime Music Video an I was searching for a new E-mail address. At the time my YT user was huge461 so I thought about taking the huge from mine and the beet from his and then I didn't like it spelled with an "S" (HugeBeetsStudio looks wierd right?) Well then I though of adding a "Z" instead and so HugeBeetzStudio was born.

Huge461:

Now I honestly can't remember how I thought up of this one but this is my very first Username I had ever created I think it hade something to do with fairly odd parents though...

Edit: I really really hate apple spellchecks...

Edit number 2: Screw you apple and your stupid spellcheck...

Wow, indeed talking about a huge bump.

My explanation for my username is not that hard to guess (I guess, if you can guess very well and guess my explanation, then go ahead and start guessing until you got no time anymore for guessing and the explanation is already told before guessing was even a part of this guess-post?) and it might have been said before. Rob is my name, and I like Exploriens (the LEGO theme from the mid-90s). It mind as well have been another space theme I like, but this one was closely related to my character and vehicle in Racers (with epic Wolfpack shield for the win!). It also explains my profile picture and header image (obviously).

It was the name I used in games for years.  I was also using anonymau5 for a couple of years before that.  I have since gone back to anonymau5 but I won't change it here for nostalgia reasons.

Alcom1: My user name does indeed have some history behind it. I developed it in 1999, when I first attempted to join LEGO.com. I was beyond making a name out of an interest topic with numbers attached, so I condensed my actual name into a cool sounding 5 letters. Thus my name was entered and I proceeded to explore and enjoy the site with my awesome name without numbers. Fate was cruel though, and by an error of LEGO, I was unable to login one day. After a week of attempts, I simply made a new account with the 1 at the end, and have used it since.

Alcom Isst: A brilliant moment in LEGO Universe, my best friend in the game, Hollis Shuner, mentioned to me that with an 'ist' added at the end, my name was a pun off of "Alchemist". I took the pun and ran with it, using it as a full name pseudonym, because that is a beautiful pun.

"Fushigisaur"

It's derived from Bulbasaur. Bulbasaur's evolutionary family to be exact.

Each evolution has a different name, but they all end in "saur:" Bulbasaur, Ivysaur, and Venusaur.

In the original Japanese version, all three evolutions have names that start with "fushigi:" Fushigidane, Fushigisou, and Fushigibana.

Thus, it occurred to me that one can take the unchanging parts of the names, "fushigi" + "saur" and get a name that could reasonably refer to all three at once.

Then I decided to use it as a username because I couldn't think of anything better.

Ha, JimbobJeffers. Well, actually Jimbob Jeffers. Well, previously Jimbob Daniels... Uh, previously just Jimbob. Below is a tiny degree of the nonsense that is my brain.

I think the name Jimbob was developed when I was at primary school - I drew many comics, and needed names for the characters. In the end 5 names stood strong - Jimbob, Bobjim, Jefferey (despite the actually spelling being Jeffrey), Humphrey, and - when the need of a girl arised - Matilda. Soon stories came out linking them - Jimbob was Bobjim's brother, and Humphrey and Matilda always had a thing for each other. Then Jimbob suddenly had a surname, Daniels, and Bobjim needed a surname to which for some reason flowed out as Umani. But unfortunately, my PSN account was a sub-account called Jimbob Daniels, and I soon wanted a master account. So Jimbob changed his name to Jimbob Jeffers.

Because their names are used for such a variety of purposes - be it a cartoon character, a model I've painted, my PS3 console, my laptop, an in-game character, etc. - I soon 'realised' that these five people were in fact not mortals, but special beings who took many forms, but such forms could only be brought into existence by my own mind. Jimbob being my favourite name, is used for the majority of things. And so that is how JimbobJeffers became my username.

No. I don't take drugs. I have no special needs. I'm a perfectly normal person, but we all have our own quirks, right?

My name comes from my LEGO ID, which is the first place on the Web I ever signed up for (2005). I first wanted my name to be just "le" (and I wil leave it at that), but LEGO would not let me use that. I clicked next, (that was what it told you to do), and it then said to use " ". (It pretty much said to have an account without a name. :P) I clicked next again, and this time it came up with an actual name: "le717". I liked it, so I signed up with that name.

Triangle717

When I was signing up for YouTube, I could not use le717, for it had already been taken and deleted. After a bunch of thought, I came up with Triangle. It has "le" at the end, so I could append my famous 717 to it, and be known as Triangle717. :)

O.T.

@Car CrazeXVI, you may have just made the biggest bump in the history of RRU. Be (semi-) proud. :P
