Samhamnam
Is there any way to make the 2001 version of the game run without a compiled Jam file?
FlashySnakez
No, that's one of the most important files.
LimeKiller
No, that's one of the most important files. Yes, but in the 1999 version of the game, one is able to run the game with the file decompiled -- with all of the files extracted from the archive. AFAIK, this is not doable in the 2001 version. le717
Is there any way to make the 2001 version of the game run without a compiled Jam file? Nope, it cannot be done with the 2001 copy. The theory is No-JAM is development code that was left in the 1999 release but removed in the 2001 rerelease (although JMMB's >findings make the theory not as clear cut as once thought).
