As I mentioned I've been wanting to try my hand at Neo Classic Space.

Here is my first attempt.

I present to you...

...Luke's Landspeeder with wings and a closed cockpit :/

...yeah. It needs work, I've already started making some changes but I thought I'd go ahead and post v1.0 anyway.

Also I should mention that while it LOOKS like the landspeeder the construction is different. It's very SNOTty.

...I'm proud of those wings though. I think they turned out nice.

*waits to be told what I did wrong*

Shadowblaze

In general, it looks pretty nice. But it's a bit too dull, it lacks of detail. Where are the green and red lights, and the antennas, and spacy stuff? D:

Improvements have been made, here is version 1.1

Sorry about the awkward angle, but I wanted to get the new back lights in the shot. *^_^

EDIT: here's another angle

Noted, I'll see if I can make it spacier.

Eh... exposed flat expanses of studs on the front? :P I think you should raise the cockpit a little higher so you can put space-y stuff on the front.

From what I can see of the back, you did pretty well for the engines. The wings seem a little cluttered with the little bits in v1.1, but at the same time they looked bare in the original.

When you update this, can you put in a back-view shot?

O.T.
I misspelt 'back' as 'dack.' 'D' isn't anywhere NEAR to 'B.' [/uselessinfo]

:D That model looks a whole lot better. The little teeth on the side look great, and those lights make a spesship feel. Though you did put a red one directly behind a green one... The front looks good with the little grill.

But for some reason, those curved plates at the front just don't fit to my mind. I think it's because Classic spess Space only used slopes and never curves... *Jamesster points out an example :P* Try it using something like a 2x2x2 sloping brick and see what that does... (if I understood the front construction correctly)

I kinda like the curved front. Actually , I really liked it! In my opinion (sorry aidenpons :()  think you should keep it.  I also like those antennas on the back.

Oooh, me like.

The color scheme fits well, and I like the design. My only real problem is that it look too, well, domestic. It looks a bit more like a sports spacecar than something you might find on the Classic space asteroid or moon base. Or maybe that's just the look you're going for, which I guess is fine.

Also, you might want to render it in PoVRay or Blender. That usually has nice results.

I have no clue why, but the design with the seams between the bricks visible looks a whole lot better than without.

I agree. I think it's because you can see the complexity of the techniques.
