Yet, there are plenty of sharks on land in LEGO Island. Except the presence of a shark behind the beams shows that the dark blue stuff isn't solid matter like rock or something, it's both transparent and it allows a shark to swim through it. And given the physical undersea location of the dome, the deep blue color of said matter outside of it, and presence of a water-dwelling shark...
