le717
This was a poor project and I should be ashamed that I made it. This is for those people who are scared by or do not understand the command-line, and who avoid the command-line as much as possible (you know who you are). I have written a GUI (using Inno Setup) for JrMasterModelBuilder's Python version of the JAM Extractor, which, as you may know, is command-line only. Simply drop this GUI into the same folder as the EXE version (x86 or x64), load it, and follow the directions. As of V1.0, both extraction and compression commands are supported. Naturally, source code is available to compile your own/change it. Just to clarify, this in itself is not a JAM extractor! It allows you to use the Python version of JMMB's extractor without the command-line. You have to download a copy of the actual extractor to use this. Version 0.2 Download JAM Extractor (Python) GUI (Sourceforge.net Download) Change Log 1.0 (January 22, 2013) Corrected program name (I has mistakenly thought the extractor's EXE name was the program name) Corrected program text (is the GUI extracting the JAM, or the extractor?) Added ability to compress LEGO.JAM, in addition to extraction. Changed program text to mention both extraction and compression. Updated source code comments Cleaned up Readme 0.2 (January 22, 2013) Bug fix: JAMExtractor.exe is now expected to be in same location as GUI, instead of LEGO.JAM. Readme, Change Log, and Compiling Guide created Source code cleanup Source code made available 0.1 (January 21, 2013) First release (no source code) coffins
le717
Alright, V1.0 is released! I've added both the extraction and recompression parameters, making this GUI complete. I will note that you need to append the folder you want to compress to the path, because I did not want to hard-code it to use LEGO_JAM. Enjoy. :)
Modded Lego
Thanks for this, now I don't have to wait for three hours for my LEGO.JAM to extract and compress. Thanks for the JAM (Check Spoiler)
