Rocket Racer Red Run

So with the PWB editor, I decided to mod Rocket Racer Run to have all Red bricks, for a more combative and close race. Then I entered that race. It was the best LEGO race I've ever been in.

PWB Downloads:

Rocket Racer Run, Red Brick: http://www.mediafire...w60kjkmm7gxo6ux

Rocket Racer Run, Blue Brick: http://www.mediafire...jp47gzjjdsycbh3

Just change the name of the files to POWERUP.PWB and place them in GAMEDATARACEC3R0. Don't forget to make back ups and all that fun stuff.

Looks like fun. Alcom1, would you mind I asked you if it were possible for you to send me all your modified PWB-files? I'm really interested in seeing what other people did with this tool.

It would have been more competitive with all blue rather than all red, but it was a lot better than the mess it is with those exploitable warps.

It's like LR2's battle mode, but a real race.

Now I just want to see a mod where every green brick on every track is replaced with something else. That would make the game less easy.

That is most likely going to be my next mod now.

Great to see my tool at such great use!

I'll "soon" be updating the tool with adding and removing blocks and giving some funny options

Rocket Racer: "Haha, I can still be a good racer without warps!"

and giving some funny options
Like... a shuffle colors function? (randomizes color of every brick on track). That's the only idea that came to mind atm.

Huggles that sounds great. I cant wait to try out your tool adding a removing bricks. One question though if we do add blocks how are we going to change the al paths to avoid the blocks?

Just talked with Origamiguy I think that he is developing an al bot path editing tool

To clarify, he's referencing this post. I'm not developing a path editor, I'm simply researching how the format works and how to change the speed of the drivers.

Why go through the trouble of modding this though? If you'd used the PGLLRD cheat, you'd have achieved the same thing?

Maybe you want to achieve that without cheating... and even place the power ups on different spots. But also you cannot use the cheats in the campaign mode.

What about a mix of Rocket Racer Red/Blue Run? Red where the track is red, blue where the track is blue. When playing on MXPMX, that could bring some tension. :D
