I found this video in the Av folder of LEGO Creator, the folder with the LEGO Creator Voices, What is that for?

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wlQvq9rn1Yw

It's like the LEGO Media intro, without the MEDIA Logo, and using the Old LEGO Logo... And by the appearence of the logo in the beginning and fading out it gives an idea of a Loopable video.

And I still don't know how to put videos in a post :P

youtube url here ;)

As for the video, are you sure it's unused? It's, as you say, the LEGO Media/Sofware Intro without the Media/Software text, but it seems to be the Intro video to Creator. I do not own Creator, so I'm not positive on this. Someone help me out. :)

So, the video is unused, the actual LEGO Media Intro WITH Media text appears at the beginning, with the new logo and stuff, it's called Ident.avi and appears in the main folder of LEGO Creator. While this one is called LEGO.avi appears in the LC voices folder, I think the purpose is not the video, but the name of it, LEGO.avi with just LEGO, because when you select a voice for a minifig, there is the options: LEGO, 01, 02, 03, 04, and 05, the LEGO one is nothing... but then why the video?

Is it really stretched the way it is on YouTube?

It could just be a file they included by mistake. I think about a dozen of the files in LEGO Creator Harry Potter are there by mistake. I'll have to give them a good look through sometime.

I uploaded it to YouTube, and it is really at that bad quality, if you loop that video in Windows Media Player You will see it loops well,

And it's not the Harry Potter Version

I know, I was refering to the Harry Potter version as an example.

Maybe just an old placeholder they forgot to remove, like the trash can sprite from Junkbot in the LEGO Fever files, or LEGO Island 2 sound effects in the Island Xtreme Stunts files (and the other way around, Lair found that one of many unused LEGO Island 2 vocal clips actually was mixed into an L.E.G.O Radio song in Island Xtreme Stunts).

The resolution is 128x128. For comparison, the AVI files used in the tutorials are 188x188. It might have been some interface/tutorial thing that they got rid of.

Can someone let me know when they established Media and what their first game with this logo was? Maybe this was their original render for the LEGO Logo and then they added the Media bit for release, and forgot to delete the original render?

I found out that the logo is the same one that appears on the beginning of LEGO Island, except it's longer, maybe because LEGO just made game and hasn't made the "Media" and "Software" companies yet...

This looks pretty similar to the beginning of LR2:

I'm not sure when they were established, but it seems LEGO Creator was the first game they made, followed closely by LEGO Loco. I don't have Creator, but Loco does have the Media logo.

Sources:

IGN

Gamespot (it says LEGO Chess was released in 1989, this is an error)

According to Wikipedia, Creator was made by Lego Media (now known as Lego Interactive).

Does that help? :)

OF COURSE

because that is the LEGO Software logo when just LEGO turned into LEGO Media and then turned into LEGO Software.

It's the same logo but with LEGO logo design is new and has "Media" or "Software" placed on them

I can't tell if that is an insult to me, or self-realisation...
