Any way of still getting LEGO Island?

I could only recommend getting LI1, since that is the only one I've played. I have LI2 but what people have said about it hasn't motivated me to install it.

You had to go and say that, didn't you?

Hey look, most of that train is still sitting on or over the rails :P

Yep this is definitely neon green

Please be sarcasm, please, please.

As with this topic. It's still on the rails...mostly.

Okay you win... :P

Just to clear things up: I think all three games are great games. (I also think that vivid, out af place, neon colours are more fun, but okay, thats just my opinion.)

Neons are only ok on cars :P (Police disagree though :( )

I'd like to know why you think LI2 is 'great'.

Isn't there some super-tight ridiculous, stupid law against neons?

I hate all these police regulations at times. Especially this new one where you can't use your credit card in casinos.

Yes, if you have a Neon or even aftermarket boost gauges you can get fined.

The should fine those people with neon green fake grass too.

Oh no, train is getting towed of the rails.

What's left of it, you're trying to speak about neon-coloured LEGO cars.

I just like it. I've played it more than the two others. I don't think there is a particular reason, though. But it has other islands, and a good plot. The whole movie-thing in IXS doesn't work for me.

Mr. Eight-Three-One

and a good plot.

HAHAHAHA *cough* ahahaa

....that was a joke, right?

No.

*snorts holding laughter*

1. We're really arguing about grass? (let alone arguing about opinions)

2. LI1 didn't even have a plot, it was a sandbox style game, that wasn't the point, so I don't know why we are even arguing about the plot. Lego games aren't exactly known for their plot, LI2 is probably one of the few that actually has one.

3. Linearity isn't always a bad thing. If someone wants to tell me a story, I'm not going to criticize it because it wasn't post-modern enough. Sandbox style games are just another kind of game, not all games have to be sandbox games, or non-linear or what have you. If you like those more than linear story-based games, more power to you.

4. I think GordonFreeman had his question answered a while ago, perhaps if you want to continue discussion you should make a LI1 vs LI2 topic :P

Drill Master

I was lucky enough to get the ultimate lego game set that had the LI1 and 2 along with LRR, Chess, Loco, and Creator (or at least thats what games I think were in it, Idk really) I really liked both Island games. when I was young I really liked LI2 because I could drive the trian... Yes I was easily entertained back then...

Don't even THINK of stepping on the tracks, the Super Station Master will swoop down and "rescue" you!

I loved the bug where he would fly me around in circles and never put me down. I had to call out for an adult

Is that the cocky arsehat conductor from LEGO Loco?

Actually not. He will still sweep you off the crossing if the train comes by. Funnily enough there is a glitch that can occur when the Station Master snatches you and will spin around a Helicopter Pad before dropping Pepper off. This glitch lasts around two minutes or less so if it happens you can get a big eyefull of it.

Fluffy Cupcake

There is also a glitch where you can permanently get rid of him. Despite accidentally pulling it off before, I wish I knew how to exactly, cause I have no idea how to, and all I remember from years ago was goofing off trying to escape him.

Also, I haven't gotten reports of anyone else having this glitch happen yet. Possibly rare?

For some strange reason, this didn’t happen last time I tried and it just went through me.

Hey, if you've got a copy that you want to send out, I'd be more than happy to take it.
