Another Lr1 Test Track Glitch...

I finally got around to racing Rocket Racer (beat him on first try!) so I could confirm what Jamesster did here: http://www.rockraide...red-test-track/

So, I did exactly what he did, and the Racers started following the path of the RR race. (Chalk one up for confirmation!)

Anyway, I had enabled Cheat Codes so I could go in warps in the test track, and go OoB on the track. Well, by mistake, I had touched the wall before I used the warp. And what happened is the purpose of this topic. Instead of going OoB, I was shot back out from the same place, but in the opposite direction. I was able to do this multiple times. I finally recorded it:

This was recorded on a non-modded version of LR1 with CamStudio.

That's pretty cool. I wonder why this happens at all since Warp makes your vehicle follow a set path high above the track at high speed. Maybe because there isn't an AI path in the test track (is there?) the game doesn't know where to fling you when you're in warp... but hitting the wall somehow causes the game to realize "holy brick I don't know where to warp this guy, just throw him out where he came from!"

By the way, the term "out of bounds" was in use way before LEGO Universe ever came about.

I do not think there is a track path in the test track. I mean, there is no timer, and no lap counter. How could there be a path?

I like quote. I like that.

Ok. I did not know that about out of bounds. I guess LU just made it popular. What about OoB? Was that is use before LEGO Universe?

Did you see in the video where I was driving on my front wheels after I came out of the warp?

Sorry, but, how is this new info, exactly? The crazyness of MXPMX on the test track has been known for quite a long time, for example...

I might add that you can also get behind the blue garage door without quitting the track with MXPMX. This stuff is indeed neat, don't get me wrong, just not anything we didn't already know... :/

Did you not watch the video and read what I wrote? If you touch the wall before you use the warp, you will be shot out the same way you went in. You will not float like usual. I did not see that glitch on the link you gave me.

Yea. I knew about getting passes the blue garage door. I think I saw it from one of you videos...

Ok. Please stop correcting me about OoB already. I did not know. I am not a sports fan of any kind, so I wouldn't have known.

Yes, I watched the video and read the topic and video description. I've known that since I first started messing with cheats in LR1, found it by accident (much like how you did) and didn't think much of it... I kinda found falling underneath the track a little more interesting then bouncing off a wall. :P

(around 2:20)

Huh... Watching that old video of mine (good grief my voice sounds weird) I just noticed noticed that if you warp and your car hits a wall mid-warp, you can end up falling through the track AND getting the 180 reversal (around 1:20). Weird. O.o
