I have just discovered that there seems to be a size limit to lxf files. Does anyone know a work around? This thing will be close to 1000000 elements, but I can't get past ~25000.

Working on it. What kinds of errors do you receive at the 25,000 element limit?

A crash while saving.

That's not a limit, that's your system having a heart-attack and then killing off the offending problem to try restore some kind of stability. Get more RAM.

You mean to tell me that I will need 8+ gigabytes to go all the way with this?

Now, what about the crashes that appear when I move the camera and other random times that take down the whole system?

I don't think you really want it. It looks like you need a sever the size of RRU or larger to work with it. Time to start making an editor that can do the basics with these teramocs without crashing.

You'll need 8+GBs of RAM, and a HIGH performance CPU + Graphics card to continue. It sounds like it is a rendering problem, which means the biggest thing you need to improve is the graphics card (try get something with a GPU higher than 256MBs)

Now I have had these crashes occur when the system was well within its limits, which has always puzzled me. I am doubtful getting a new graphics card will solve that unless there are memory leaks all around. The proccessor is about as powerful as it can get and it is an i7 clocked to 2.47GHz (and I've seen it overclock itself slighty before to 101%). I think the only way to upgrade that would to be to go Xeon or some other mainframe unit. Are you familar with the seemingly silly Window's Experience Index? Given I have little else to go by, it looks like I am good for graphics for now, unless that is the origin of the lag, in which case there is going to some serious suckage and screwage, because it is a 6.9 out of a 7.9 (I have one of these: http://www.nvidia.com/object/product_geforce_gts_240_us.html). Processor: 7.4 out of 7.9. The RAM needs a lot of help: 5.9 until it goes above 4GB. I don't know how one deals with a "slow" hard disk. Are you sure I need to invest $1000 more into this? Its already $4500 out of the box!

I'm only listing possible solutions here, and it's not my fault it they will potentially cost a lot. Right now though, whatever TLC department made this program screwed up MAJORLY while optimsing it for handling larger models.

What you could do is make the city modular, and develop it in specific parts (maybe separate it into 4 or more distinct sections). Then I'm sure you could use something like Photoshop or the GIMP to make it seem in your screenshots like it's one big city.

AN X-TRAIN HAS APPEARED!

The lower one is Hafnium, the blue one is Dark Pluto.

The word "Hafnium" should be on the side instead Hf-178m2, which is its power source though Induced Gamma Emission. Otherwise it is a closed circuit steam turbine electric, like most of the X-trains. Its IGE unit is the low slung grey cylinder in the middle.

It is one of the "X-Trains" found in Radio. Some of the others are Plutonium-238 Pilot, Sr-90, which are the same save for layout, weight, and heat source, and Dark Pluto.

Dark Pluto, being a NGTEL, is the odd one out. It is commonly seen with slugs (not the Slimy kind) in the rail yard. It was built with a modified version of the reactor found in the Pathfinder II orbiter (the people in Radio will stick a reactor in just about anything) to replace the Black Winds that were being used in the yard. The prime mover can develop 7500 horsepower. It has a top intake and top exhaust for the prime move and side intake and rear exhaust for the air cooled generator.

Hafnium and Dark Pluto are the heaviest of the X-Trains because of the shielding requirements.

This is Plutonium 238 Pilot. It was the first of the X-Trains and has had limited success. There are two large blocks of Pu238 on either end. It takes the two Isobreed (when I finish the RNEC, you will see them, but first I need a lot more RAM) reactors a month in two to three hour burns to generate enough of the hot metal to refuel it. With reactor cooldown times taken into account, it takes close to four months to make enough material. That said, it only needs refueling every 87 to 89 years.

This is OV-201. A one off space plane, it takes off using a runway with a ski jump under its own nuclear power in the form of three reactors fueled with enough weapon grade plutonium to make more than one and a half dozen bombs. The reactors are "wrapped" around the shafts of three turbojets, allowing it to fly like a normal aircraft in an atmosphere, but move about in space with with liquid nitrogen as a propellant. The fuel is encased in neutron reflectors, reducing the shielding requirements to two inches of depleted uranium and its shape prevents it from making a very large crater in the runway. The refelctors them selves are covered in ceramic reenforced with tungsten wire to protect it from the propellant whether it is air or nitrogen. The airframe is made mostly of titanium alloys, unlike its namesake's, which was mostly aluminum based and the heat shield is much thicker than those of the NASA orbiters and is reenforced with aluminum plates and ribs. There are also tile covering the internal airframe as well. These have resulted in speculation that one could shoot it with an M16A2 and not compromise its ability to reenter the atmosphere. It is also very heavy. Its weight almost exceeds that of the maximum take off weight of the NASA orbiters, despite being a third smaller. It found use as a method to deploy twelve nuclear warheads on two BusSats, satellite versions of the buses that were to be used prior to the SALT agreements to aim multiple warheads, in the Repossession War of 2043, in which Radio commandeered MLRS units and refitted them with nuclear warheads and aimed them at the Chinese that were trying to take the city. The BusSats were an added assurance of destruction.

I have an image of the CRPD Helicopter. (Someone is gonna flip when they see this, most likely Extreme.)

What is different from the Coax Attack?

The engines set farther apart and are different from the standard ones and additional NBC sensors. That and the paint scheme. Apparently, The City of Radio does not take its chances with its exports, as I have found that this is often used as an escort. Though, there are records of it being used against Chinese invaders.

The world is being held together by agreements between corporations, yet there are still those who find currency and motivation to steal reprocessed waste.

I still disagree with the double rotors, but they are impressive. Good work.

Helicopters with coaxial rotor heads are more stable, but sacrifice maneuverability and tend to be slow. That's why you rarely if ever see them IRL, although they make great starter helis for RC pilots.
