6979 Interstellar Starfighter, first released in 1997.

Condition: Overall good. Prints are mint. Light brick is functional. Fiber optic system is intact and functional. Battery box is functional. Micro Motor is non-functional. One of the wires is frayed at one end. Thermal sticker is mint and functional. All other parts are in mint or semi-mint condition. Instructions included in mint condition. LEGO Club catalog included in mint condition. Battery box instructions are slightly damaged (folded slightly in box).

This is one of the sets I really wanted as a child. I'm so glad to have finally gotten one.
