I can't take it...

I'd hate to be saying goodbye to a forum I felt at home on, but it's what I must do. I can't take the stress.

I have a few things to say before I go.

Cyrem:

You are an inspiration for everyone, including me. You also made this great place. I'm sorry that some people had to ruin it for everyone.

Cirevam:

I wish I had gotten to know you better. Form what I do know, you were one of the best forum moderators I have ever seen, if not the best.

Storm:

I know you can work through your problems. Keep at it, man!

Pascal:

You had your moments, but you really inspired me to improve my programing skills. I'll keep in touch.

Lair:

You have an awesome sense of humor, and you helped me out through hard times. I thank you for that. Send me a friend invite on steam, k?

le717:

Without you we wouldn't be able to mod anything in LR1. You have contributed a LOT to this forum.

Sadie:

I'll continue to talk to you on Steam. I don't leave my friends behind.

Sonic322:

You probably won't believe me when I say this, but I considered you a friend of mine and still do, plus you helped me out through some hard times in the past. Keep in touch.

Shadow322:

I talked to you more on Minecraft, so I have to thank you for helping me out with the server.

The Doctor:

I wish we got to know each other better. I know we would have been great friends.

Unfortunately, I also have some stern words for a certain member.

Extreme110:

My emotions are wanting me to vent at you in a hurricane of anger and hate, but rather I'm going to say that you need to work on respect for people and kick the attitude. You won't make friends and influence people by constantly bashing them for simple disagreements and bullying them into submitting to your beliefs like the dictator of a third-world country. Until you learn to respect the people around you, you will not be the protector of human rights you believe yourself to be.

I can't say I didn't predict this would be the result of tonight, because I did.

When you first where on these forums, and for a long time, believe it or not, I did actually respect you. You seemed to be significantly intelligent and you weren't being as pretentious as I see you now. There was some hope we could have communicated more.

But, for whatever reason, we both changed, and we both started becoming more aggressive towards each other. My "attitude" is what I give to people I don't have respect for, such as people involved in the brony fights. I respect a lot of people, Cyrem, Cirevam, antillies, the other mods, even Lair and other members here have my respect, even if you don't think I show it/I show it in a weird way. I don't "bash" people for simple disagreements, it's when other people escalate from an organised conversation to a full fledged argument that I become completely hostile.

This opinion of yours that makes you see me as the most highest and mighty person in all the world is a perfect reflection of what I, and probably others, see you as. Sure, I'm not the most perfect and fair person on the internet, but there are people a lot worse than I am, and you certainly aren't any better than I am.

Leaving this site because of "stress" is, what I feel, an invalid reason. Leaving due to personal problems in your real life, due to time constraints, because you feel unsafe or because you simply have no interest in the site and what it has to offer is what I think is a valid reason to leave. If you want to go, then so be it. After your tirade, to me you've become just another member who came and went.

Good luck in your further pursuits. Just remember that there are people worse than me you will have to face, and if you choose to run away, then you'll get nowhere fast.

What? NO! Don't leave! Look, I'm been reading the topic from which this stemmed (and I take no sides, not do I plan to nor side with someone in this comment), but in all honestly, should a disagreement between two members be enough to drive you away? Granted, that was a tough, load, emotional battle (sounds like something out of Life with Father :P), but, despite the severity of it, it shouldn't have been enough to leave. Maybe a cool down peroid in which all involved parties leave the forum for a week, maybe two, but forever?

Extreme said something in the last paragraph of his comment:

I would like to add to that, but in a differerent way.

Lets say you are a runner, a good one at that. However, the constant events you must run in and the practices are keeping you from doing other stuff. You want to tell your coach that you want off. You tell him in whatever way you can, but he replies with a small paragraph such as

If you want to quit, I am doing nothing to stop you. However, by quitting, you will have just proven to yourself and others that, when hard and stressful times fall upon you, that you will get out of it. As time goes on, and you continue on this path, you will find it easier and easier to cop out of issues that are more important than quitting the track team.

Will you quit the team after reading that letter?

You two have had a bitter argument, and it seems that one side has won, because the other left, gave up, quit. Phoenyx, you are not a quitter. In fact, I cannot picture you as a quitter, Everytime I see you online, I am happy, because I know that there is a helpful, kind, strong-willed person that would not intentionally try to hurt anyone, who stands up for what is right, and encourages those who need it. You are not a quitter.

As I said, try taking a week or two off, and come back and see how things goes. You and Extreme will not be best buds again, no, it will take time to mend what has been broken. But, if you strive to repair it, strive to stay and get through whatever troubles you face, who really is the winner? And not just here, but in the bigger picture, in later hardships, who really won? You, by overcoming the evil, or the evil?

However, if this really is goodbye, and you are not coming back, I will miss you, my friend. As I said, I was happy and glad when I saw you online! You know where to find me on YouTube and my Wordpress blog if you need to contact me. I will miss you. :(D: ;(

P.S You really should be thanking origamiguy for the LR modding. I did nothing but build upon Bart's research on the TUNs and take a different interpratation in Will's mini-rant of the BMPs, and somehow discovered BMP swapping. ;P

So did I leave for invalid reason as well?

Yup. But, I liked you so I was more lenient on your leaving.

I know it's silly to post here since you won't see this and I have you in my steam contacts but I feel too awkward saying it there

I was a big jerk toward you in the last month, and I still have not said anything in regards to some big fight that caused you to almost leave the site. I'm sorry that I responded the way I did, and sort of intentionally let the tension continue on and then just pretend like nothing happened.

and you still say that and now I feel bad

Wow.  I'm really sad that you're leaving; I had a lot of fun working on cracking the Loco files.  I would like to get to know you better...

As far as Extreme goes, I mostly just ignore him when he has nothing constructive to say.  It's been good practice, and makes it a bit easier to see the times when he is a fun person to be around.
