Pain. Searing pain. It's all I could feel. It overtook all my senses. I slowly opened my eyes, I saw darkness...nothing but darkness. As slowly as I opened them, I closed my eyes, drifting off into sleep again. I don't even remember much of what happened. I just remember rainfall, and a flash...

-Several weeks later-

I jolt awake, the pain having dulled, but not completely left me. But now...I feel almost nothing where my left arm should be. I try to move it, but strangely find I can't. I slowly force my eyes open, and am blinded by the bright lights that seem to be penetrating my eyes. Slowly, a few minutes later, after my eyes completely adjust to the hospital room, I attempt to move my head to the side. Finding that I can't, I attempt to mutter an explitary under my breath, but am unable to form coherent words.

"Fff-" I thought, as my mind drifted back into the cold grasps of sleep.

My dreams are full of turmoil. Conflict, horror. Creatures haunted my dreams. Long, serrated teeth. Some of them were missing their lower jaw, and yet others were missing their abdomens. Their inner workings spilling onto the floor. Suddenly, they took form...

I was standing in a cathedral, Misty fog enveloping my entire being, almost seeping into my mind, as I could barely form a coherent thought. I attempted to move my arm, and it felt...somehow shorter. Slowly turning my gaze to my arm, I noticed a metallic sheen to it. For some reason, however, it felt...natural moving it.

A searing pain struck through my head, making my head pound, almost completely obliterating my train of thought, except for one word, repeating itself, over and over again. "oooorrrphannn" "OOORRRPHAN" it kept getting louder and louder, more and more painful...until...the pain stopped. I realized that my hands had been gripping my head. Releasing my grip, I wondered aloud "Who...Who is orphan...?"
