Vala Ore See Plus Plus?

Well then, I've tested vala in windows, and it appears to be much easier to work with than c++ in windows...

Besides that, I have vala as my favorite programming language, and c++ second to that...

That is not to say, however, that I dislike c++ in the slightest. Like I mentioned above, c++ is my second favorite programming language, and vala is first, just barely.

Should I take the time to rewrite ORR in vala?

I'm debating about whether or not I should. Hopefully your opinions will help me decide.

It might be a bad idea, people tend to work best when they don't constantly rewrite everything because they discover they can use a new language.

Write it in whatever you are best at.

However, changing when you find better languages is bad. It is the best way to make sure you never finish your project. At least get the game done before writing a port.

So far, you've all echoed my sentiments.

Well, hopefully something will bring the ground breaking (or not ground breaking) decision about.

I plan to go form Python (a very small amount of the visuals), to C++ (to make the rest and to debug), and then to assembly language(to make it as small as possible), with RaidOS. Considering LRR is being very temperamental with Win7, I expect Win8 to be much worse; much, much worse. So bad that LRR will hardly work at all on it without serious hacks and cracks (illegal hacks).
