I still hate Florida.

Day 0

Arrived, got car, Silver Ford Fusion. Pretty blue glowy. Went to aunts. Stayed there for a while, nap, went to lunch. Good pizza. Went to grandmas. Played with old organ. Went to get food in the rain. Went back to the organs. Played with that, look at old computer, fixed tv, more organ. Left. Back to aunts. Dinner, rice and chicken. Played with laptop for while. Debian lacks packages, no Internet... Yet.

Day 1

First sleep. Not the best bed. High, rather firm, and less than soft pillows. Otherwise not bad. May have woken up a few times during the night. Slept in. Woke up, had pancakes. Was bored for a while, watched Rio, then went to lunch. Tijuana Flats, Mexican food. Distinctive loud style. Soft beef/bean/blar leafy green stuff (with chips). Not bad, but not great. Mom had these pork and chicken wrapped in something fried. Those were much better. Started raining when we arrived. Always rains for a little while in the afternoon then stops. After that, we went home and mom/aunt went for some spa thingy. Probably not a spa, no idea. We stayed at hq and watched movies. Saw Salt. Pretty good. Watched The Forgotten after that. Pretty handwavey. Mom and aunt came home with food. Saw my cousin on Skype. Haven't seen her in years. Had fried chicken and steak fries, but I didn't eat them. Didn't feel great (not sick). Had a large cookie with M&Ms in it. Watched some old Sherlock Holmes movie. B movie. Saw some old AFV episode, went to bed. Didn't even touch the computer. No solid plans for the rest of the trip yet. Apparently there's a storm a'brewin.

Day 2

Only day two? Seems like a week. Slept in again. Had... French toast on sourdough bread. Different, not my favorite. Put the computer in the other room. Still nothing to do because 1, still no Internet and 2, I lack packages for things like df and the powder toy. Went to see Captain America at a Regal theater. Ok movie. Got Sweetarts. Walked around a bit afterwards. Rather warm, but not horrible. Had pizza at a place next to the theater with some name that escapes me. Good pizza. There was a wifi place there, so I check my email. 1 for rru and 4 for Justin.tv just-went-live messages. Went back for a little bit, then went to grandma's for about a half hour. Read 55 pages of The Glass Castle (school book). Strange book. Went back, watched tv for a bit. Had dinner. Soup with fruit, cheese and crackers. The soup wasn't bad, but it was more like some noodles with a hit of chicken in a watery sauce. It was better than that sounds. Idle'd a bit afterward, more tv, then watched the last half of Goldmember. Took a shower, proceeded write this up to here, and finally bugger them into giving me the WEP key. After fiddling around with /etc/interfaces, I finally get the laptop connected. Finally, interwebz.

The place we went. The theater is behind the building in the background. That's my uncle, aunt, mom and brother there (in that order).

Day 3

Awaken rather early today for we set off for an adventure. Eat nothing for breakfast because I can't be bothered to. Take a half hour car trip to Islands of Adventure. A true adventure this will be, for our (myself and brother's) main motive for coming here is to have lunch at Confisco again. My mother's is to see the new Harry Potter place. This is where the detail escapes me. We walk around to the Harry potter place, look around a bit, and stand in awe at how many bloody people are there. The wait for the castle ride was a whole hour and a half. I didn't time it because I didn't give a crap. After that, we wandered around a bit and tried a butterbeer. It's this thick, butterscotch drink that's far too sweet for me to get addicted to, besides being rather expensive (there were lines just for butterbeer). After that we just piss around the area, and eventually go to lunch. Had, to everyone's surprise, a cheese pizza. For some reason, I remembered it better than this one was. After that, we took a walk around, eventually winding up back at the Harry potter place again. Eventually, I got hot and bothered and decided to complain about going home. I managed to piss my mom off, so we eventually went home. I then proceeded to take a shower, then fiddle with the laptop until I got it connected again. Youtubes and such until dinner. Lasagna. Not bad. More computers and LP watching until a bit of talking about tomorrow and then going to sleep. I have to go down to Miami tomorrow with my dad (and luckily my aunt). It's a three hour trip. Blar. I still hate Florida. At least I know how to spell it now.

Hogwarts. It's on about a 1:8 scale, from what I reckon. Ignore the random guy there.

Day 4

Got up rather early again today because we had to drive down toward Miami to see my grandpa. Grabbed our bags we packed the night before, and headed off in Aunt's car. At least my ant and uncle came along, albeit the trip being a bit cramped. We drove and drove and drove some more until we finally got to gramp's old person home place. We stayed there for about fifteen minutes then went to Friday's for lunch. Cheesestick things, chicken tenders w/ fries and an Oreo desert thingy. Yummy. Almost stole gramp's to go food then headed back out. We stopped twice for breaks then finally got back to the house. Had some leftover lasagna, watched some youtubes, then to bed.

The beach we stopped at for ten minutes on our way back.

Day 5

Fairly uneventful day. Slept in quite a bit. Got up eventually. Didn't feel like eating. Watched tv and messed around with the laptop for a long while. My brother watched Napolean Dynamite. It's still a terrible movie. Mom finally came back. Went back out to get some food. Had a Subway sub. Italian herby bread, meatballs, sauce and cheese. I like those. Oh, and some chips. After that, more computer and programming. That, an episode of Burn Notice, then went to bed.

Day 6

Got up only somewhat early today. Had a blueberry bagel for breakfast. Went to some psudosciency place, Wonderworks, I think it was called. It's just an upsidedown building filled with little sciency kind of things. Displays and hands-on things. We've already been there, but we had to go again. I'm not going to go into detail, but I've already seen everything there before so it wasn't amazing. After that we had lunch at chick-fil-e fast food place. Just some chicken nuggets and fries. Went back to the house, did a bit of programming, then dinner. Noodles with butter and grated parmasiganwhatever cheese and a plum. Idling for a bit, then to bed.

Day 7

Bloody uneventful enough for me not to care about writing a proper entry. The highlight of the day was going to Johnny Rockets for lunch and reading my book afterwards. I don't bloody care.

Day 8

Ckjafoajfbahabfo. Breakfast, went to Florida Science center. Saw crap. Went home. Dinner. Pissed around with this old thing that runs Win95. Looked at a slightly less old laptop. They both work fine. Bloody hell I hate the Win95 one. It's so useless. Bed. Blar. Just one more day.

Day 9

Due to the fact that it's 11:25 at night I can't be bothered to wrote a full report for today. It went something along the lines of I had a bagel, we went to the movies to see Rise of the Planet of the Apes (it was so-so), we had a snack at that same pizza place whose name I had forgot before (Pizzera Valdiano), we went to see grangran again, almost had our flight canceled, went to Olive Garden (it was delicious), we went home, watched tv, and packed. It's finally done!

Afterwards, we go home, and find that the dishwasher barfed. There was water everywhere. The kitchen floor was soaked, the rug next to the kitchen was soaked, and the dishwasher was open, with water pooled up inside of it. Even better, the ceiling downstairs is broken in two places. Water had dripped down from there onto my dads stuff and now that's covered with mold. The kitchen floors and rug will need to be replaced, the floor/ceiling will need to be fixed, and the lower cabinets will probably have to be replaced.

Also, your family sounds like they are stuck in the 70s or 80s...I wish I was stuck in the 70s or 80s.

I'm not sure if that's me, my brother, or my cousin. Also they're aren't stuck in the 7/80s, they're just oldish.
