Thought #93 And #94

Jesus Christ, I haven't been on for a while.

#93:

If you call the United States, Canada, Mexico and all "North America" and Brazil, Argentina and Paraguay and all "South America", shouldn't "America" mean the entire thing? We did it with "East Germany" and "West Germany".

(Also can apply with "North Korea" and "South Korea")

#94a:

Windows is a long-term OS. Mac is a short-term OS.

Macs are easy to set up and use, but they can't run all the epic stuff a PC can handle and can get outdated really quickly.

Windows tend to be a little tedious at times and you'll have to update drivers and fix in some new hardware, but they can be customized to suit your needs and generally have more uses than a Mac.

Don't go on about Linux/Ubuntu/Etc. here.

#94b:

Note: I'm keeping this to Windows and Mac only. Any more computers whoop-de-do we go.

Fastest thing a computer does = Get outdated

Mac = Fastest computer

Mac(Fastest thing a computer does = Get outdated)

Therefore, Mac = Fast computer = Gets outdated the fastest

Therefore, Mac = Gets outdated the fastest

Ta da~

Windows comes out with a new OS every four or five years, sometimes sooner. OS X has been around for a long time but constantly updated. Some of those updates aren't backwards-compatible. I don't see how OS X is any more outdated than any Windows OS. The hardware is all the same anymore so it's not like Apple-made computers wear our more quickly or last longer, though the G4 and Macbooks we have at our house are several years old and work just fine for basic things. However, my first Acer laptop is almost six years old and it still works just fine except for the sound drivers and touch pad....

Mac's get outdated faster because Apple approves it's own hardware and waits to do EPIC NEW RELEASES every 2 years. This makes people feel like they got an old Mac, and since Apple don't allow Mac upgrades... they go out and buy a new Mac like a good little sheep. Meanwhile Windows/Linux users barely turn their heads and say "meh, I had that hardware two years ago...".

I don't have much experience with any Linux build, so I have no idea on where they fit on this scale.
