Dwarf Fortress; and the TTYs

Well, I discovered that, with the help of the TEXT print mode, I can run DF in one of my TTYs.

However, there is a catch. Every single "special" character shows up as a coloured "M". Which kinda makes things unusable, ya' know?

So yeah, if anyone figures out how to set the codepage/font in Ubuntu TTYs to IBM's CP437, I'd be grateful, thanks.

Also, discovered w3m, a console based web browser.

Does a decent job of rendering RRU. Can't use the SBox (opens up some kind of editor{WTF}) but hey.

Uuuh, idk... Tried looking for an emulator of that terminal?

But an emulator would defy the point.

The point is the fact that I get a HUGE G_FPS boost by running in text mode, and, unfortunately, Ubuntu does not have the symbols to do this. That, and it crashes when using any other mode, so yeah.
