Well, since Valve's release of portal as free until the 24th, I have it now.

And am on chamber...ehh....9 or so. Fun as heck

Took me last night and this afternoon to download it, but A) Its fun, B) I basically get the Source Engine and the mods for Portal for free.

Anyhow, all that aside, I now have steam. I *had* it on my laptop, but I couldn't figure out a username and it was just hogging startup time. And I couldn't find the settings button at that time

Still, now I can get any other free offers that Valve gives out, hopefully another free game at some point in time.

Too bad WINE is so inefficient that basically everything runs slightly slow, espically if its graphics intensive because of DirectX. But I can live through that.

Told a friend about freeportal today. He was just like...wha....But I've already bought the orange box...they should give out a refund to all of us who bought portal. Was kinda amusing.
