The tip isn't 3D printed anyway. That has to be machined. Most of the 3D printed parts on open-source 3D printers are frame components. That said, if you do end up 3D printing 3D printer parts, you should look into the schematics for the TAZ 5. It's a REALLY high-end machine and you may find it useful to have something a bit larger later on.

 

That reminds me, I need to print off an entire set of spare parts for my Lulzbot TAZ 5.
