Yeee boy, you heard me right!

A map editor for Return To Planet U is in progress! Finally an easy way for you guys to create your own maps :D

For those that are new and don't know what RtPu is, it's my unofficial sequel to Lego Rockraiders!

What would you like to see as a feature for the map editor or the overall game? :)

Peace!

I want a really easy-to-use interface. Don't bury things behind random options. It's nice to have everything laid out.

Failing that, include a manual l405G.jpg

Hey peep! Some process has been made. Had some trouble with saving the map files, had to program that part in c# because that has more XML support than JS. Someone in my class helped me out and now it works!

@Xiron

There will be a warning message when you get over the recomended amount of objects, and it will suggest you to make a level transition. But hey, go as far as your computer can handle :P

@aidenpons

There will be an easy mode in it, so that you can simply just drag and drop all of the objects, but also an advance mode, in which you can create all the logic behind the map if you want to create a better advanced map :)

Glad to see that people still do care for my project :)

It really feels good that people are still interested. It removes the feel that I do it all for nothing :D

Duude. JSON > XML. No joke. JSON.parse and you are done. :)

Yeah I was looking at them both, but for me XML was a better option because of the native support of it in C#. Might change it to JSON later, if it's not a lot of work.

By the way, more progress! Position, rotation and scaling gizmos! :D
