On more than on occasion I've mentioned that I have a pretty well organized LEGO Collection. Up until now, I've been too lazy to post it. I'm posting it.

The center of my collection is a 2x6 set of drawers that hold what they best fit.

Good grief Alcom, I really need to get on your level. I just have a few kinds of pieces bagged or tray'd by shape and everything else is still in the infamous random parts bin. Heck, if I didn't have class today I'd probably just run downstairs right now and start sorting, but sadly I don't have the time.

Can I haz - er, I mean that's a really well sorted Lego collection you've got there.

I've found that some plastic boxes about 30cm by 20cm with about 20 compartments in them work GREAT for small fiddly bits - like 1x1 circular studs, 2x1 grilles, 1x1x0.5 sloping bricks, small hinges...

It's especially good for Technic parts - the bars and poles can be stuffed quite nicely into those compartments, and it makes it a whole lot easier to find.

I've also never used polybags - for that small amount of parts, ice cream / margarine containers do well as well as stacking very nicely.
