I'm currently developing a game (BIONICLE 2: Legends of Metru Nui). It will be a 3D, mainly shooter game. It will also have RPG parts in which you can talk to citizens of Metru Nui. It will be linear, but after you complete the game, you will be able to free roam.

I'm currently working on some copyright issues, but so far everything is OK. (Everything went wonderful.)

Want to help? I'm currently searching for:

- Coders/Scripters (preferably with experience with Unity)

- A music composer Taken

- A 3D model designer (for the level design) Taken

- An artist Taken

- Level design ideas guy Taken

- A screenwriter Taken

- Story writer Taken

- Voice actors (see available characters below)

- Toa Vakama Taken

- Toa Nokama Taken

- Toa Whenua Taken

- Toa Onewa Taken

- Toa Nuju Taken

- Toa Matau Taken

- Toa Lhikan Taken

- Nidhiki Taken

- Krekka Taken

- Eliminator Taken

- Turaga Dume Taken

- Makuta Teridax Taken

- Turaga Lhikan Taken

- Turaga Vakama (narrating) Taken

- Tehutti

- Nuhrii

- Vishola

- Ahkmou Taken

- Ehrye

- Orkahm Taken

- Miscelaneous voices (male) Taken

- Miscelaneous voices (female) Taken

If you want to contact me, you can PM or contact me via Skype.

I will also make sure you are credited properly.

Happy building!

I recommend allowing multiple people to fill development roles. It makes development faster.

Do you have any coders? How is this being made?

Wow, those roles were fulfilled quickly. I look forward to updates from you!

That's because he's been advertising this on BZPower for a while and he's mostly got people from there with this.

Anyway, I'm a bit concerned that you didn't give any information on what sort of game this is, how you're creating it, what tools, what engine, etc. I've seen countless LEGO fan games that advertise like this until the person or people behind it realize they haven't actually been working on a game.

From experience, I agree. Most people (myself included) in the LU fan game crowd have worked on a team that doesn't really do much.

You do know you are lacking an essential part of the design pipeline, Coders and Scripters...

Link to comment

Well, I guess that's true.

I'm working with the Unity Pro game engine (which basic version costs $1500, so I blew the entire game budget in a single day)

I've added coders and scripters to the list.

Pretty much there isn't a whole lot to code though. Mainly the animations.

In that case you can't get any more scripters who don't have pro...which means that you probably won't find any.

If you actually shelled out $1500 for pro, I really hope you know what you're doing with this...

... And this leaves me doubtful. Just how much experience do you have in these things...?

Actually, it does seem to use the same scripting as normal Unity.

Well, I do plan to make some other games in the future, and this was cheap compared to other pro game engines.

Scripting or game making?

Oh, and you also still haven't said what sort of game you're making.

Thanks for reminding me of that.

It's not legal to have some people using Pro and some people using free Unity. The scripting may be the same, but their terms require everyone to have it.

Scripting = coding. The game requires a LOT of coding.

Do animations in Blender.

Also, the fact that something is a pro engine doesn't make it easily usable - Unity requires a lot of learning, and then there's all the code you have to know...

At this point, anything.

... So what kind of game is this?

Holy Makuta Teridax, Guu, I didn't know you shelled out $1,500 for this! xD I hope the whole Pro vs Free thing doesn't cause us problems. :S

Very little, but if I am decided to do something (and I am) I can do it. And if there is more people involved, even more.

They seem to use the same scritping.

I was interested until you said Unity. No more.

Uh... why?

I'll look more into it.

I'll be sure to learn everything properly. Thanks for the heads-up, though.

Do animations in Blender.

I have actually been considering this, and it is very likely that I will.

I do know that. I got it because it does have some improved functions.

Well, it's good that you have at least some idea of what you're doing. Good luck to you.

I took a screen clipping of the thing about licenses here, gyazo.com/74afe34833bf216e59857df4d585301f

Well, thanks, but at the same time, darn.

I'll have to figure this out a bit more.
