Exploding LEGO Logo

Brickulator

I was messing around with the LEGO logo from the classic games and ended up with this:

Personally I think having something like this at the start of LEGO games would have been much more exciting than the gentle falling bricks of old.

Although I am a fan of the falling bricks, but that might just be nostalgia :P

I too am fond of the falling bricks, but the exploding version is even cooler.

MY EARS OUCH.

Had the volume up too loud.

But anyway this is awesome. Where'd the sound come from? Never mind.

THIS IS DELICIOUS! You've given me some ideas. It's amazing how good the LEGO intro looks in reverse.

Yeah, although if you just reverse it then all the bricks float upwards, I had to mess with it a bit to make it look like they were falling down at the end without it looking really weird.

Also, I used the LEGO Software logo from LEGO Island 2 for this, which probably isn't the highest quality version out there. I'll see if I can find a better version and maybe see how it looks leading into some intros like that Rock Raiders one.

+1 from me.

In response to your youtube comment, what do you think of this?

That LEGO intro video is what I was referring to in my comment. It seems RR has the best quality one.

Anyway, the exploding makes a nice transition!

Ah, right. The Rock Raiders one does seem to be pretty nice quality but it's a little glitchy to work with. I fixed it eventually and used audio from the demo RR intro instead of the Island music but it still needs a bit of work.

the demo RR intro

If by that, you meant a Rock Raiders game demo which is not known to exist, upload. now.

Otherwise, please explain that. I understood the rest, but that is throwing me off.

Demo RR intro as in the longer version of the RR intro without the music from one of the old demo CDs. rock.avi I believe?
