Last weekend I went to Aviano and Vicenza for two swim meets. The first (Aviano) was a regular meet, and Vicenza's swim meet was the second (and last) pentathlon of the season. I saw improvement in both meets and I'm getting really excited for a home meet this Sunday.

At Aviano, I swam the 50 Meter Freestyle, 100 Meter Freestyle, 200 Meter Freestyle, and 200 Meter Freestyle Relay. My times for the events were (in order): 28.62 seconds (3rd), 1:06.04 (4th), 2:31.19 (4th), and 1:54.44 (1st).

At Vicenza (the pentathlon), I swam in all five events for my age division: the 100 Meter Butterfly, 100 Meter Backstroke, 200 Meter IM, 100 Meter Breaststroke, and 100 Meter Freestyle. I only got about 5 to 10 minutes to recover between events, but I still managed to pull off some good times.

100 Butterfly: 1:11.27

100 Backstroke: 1:19.27

200 IM: 2:45.68

100 Breaststroke: 1:29.94

100 Freestyle: 1:03.14

Total Pentathlon Time: 7:49.30 (6th Place)

I dropped 5.92 seconds from my Butterfly time, 1.40 seconds from my Backstroke time, 5.74 seconds from my IM time, 5.55 seconds from my Breaststroke time, and 0.74 seconds from my freestyle time (pre-Aviano). I also dropped about 50 seconds from my total pentathlon time from the first one back in October.

This weekend I'm going to swim the 50 Freestyle, 100 Freestyle, 100 Butterfly, and 400 Freestyle. My goals for this weekend are (in order): Get a time below 28 seconds, Get a time below 1:03, Get a time below 1:10, and get a time below 5:40.
